Starting on The Secret Life of Bees.
ETA: "Hang in there, Roscoe. I had a tough time getting through HP:CoS as well, but the series really hits it's stride in Book 3 and doesn't disappoint from there. "
I totally agree Patronus. PofA is where she really sucks you in. Just force yourself through CoS, the books improve tremendously after that point.

I've heard the Kite Runner is really good. I still haven't picked up my David Mamet book from Barnes and Nobles.
By any chance, has any read Three Uses of a Knife?
I just finished Extremely Lound and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer, it was one of the best books i've ever read.
Now i'm on The Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Wolfe.
i started "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" by Johnathan Safran Foer on the plane ride home yesterday and i cannot put it down, it is probably one of the best things i've read in a long while.

Finished Never Let Me Go. I spent the rest of break reading a Photoshop book because I'm a geek.
Now I'm back to school, so my poison is Charles Stewart III's Analyzing Congress. Argh math HELP.

I just started DARE TO HOPE by New Paltz Mayor Jason West. It's too soon to say whether it's good or not.

I'm about halfway through A Million little Pieces now. Yes, it took me ages to read it, and I started it AFTER the brouhaha (and it went on sale for 30% off). Great book.

I read another Dorothy L. Sayers novel, Unnatural Death. Good, entertaining mystery, if a bit dated and politically incorrect in a couple of ways.
I picked up Pynchon's Mason & Dixon again. I've read it before, a couple of times. I don't know how long I'll stick with it this time. My literary attention span has dwindled a bit lately.
almost done with Angels and Demons. i wanted to read Davinci Code, but i was yelled at to read that one first. it's ADDICTIVE. i would go to read 2 chapters, but be sucked in and read atleast 5. you can't help it... he ends chapters with unsettling cliffhangers!

I hope you enjoy it Zepka.
I'm reading Without You, by Anthony Rapp. I'm somewhere in the 200 range, and liking it. I'll probably finish it tomorrow.
I am finally reading Ken Mandlebaum's Not Since Carrie. This is a book I have been wanting to read for years and I found it at my public library the other day.

It was written by the man who conducted our Jack the Ripper walking tour when I was in London. An absolutely brilliant speaker and quite a good author as well. He's considered the leading authority on the Ripper and even helped Johnny Depp with his research for From Hell. He's also an extremely nice man
I have always wanted to take Rumbelow's tour! Whenever I finally get back to London I am definitely taking it. I have read his Ripper book and it is very fascinating! Enjoy reading it!
I'm over half way through and am loving it. You should DEFINITELY take the tour--I nearly froze to death but it was worth every minute. He is completely knowledgable and knows how to hold an audience.

Saying he helped on From Hell isn't exactly a selling point. :P But I'm sure he's great, aside from that.

Woot! How was it?
I'm reading The Kite Runner too! I'm reading it for a book club I'm in...so far it's pretty good, better than I expected!
I am not reading anything at the moment. I don't know why!
