Magical--I was VERY dissapointed in reading POTO. Raul made me want to slap the fool out of him. He cries about EVERYTHIHNG that Christine does. I bet if she farted, he would cry thinking that it was the most beautiful thing on Earth.

Summer of My German Soldier for English, 9th GRADE?! This is totally like, a sixth grade reading level. Blah. I dislike this book.

I've just finished reading The Pilot's Wife by Anita Shreve, it was pretty good.

meggison- I really hated Lord of the Flies. So much. So, so much. You really thought it was good? What about it did you like?

And I actually thought The Pilot's Wife was almost..boring. Wasn't too fond of that either.

Actually, in the past week I finished up 3 books. Why? Because I had a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGe spider in my room a couple of nights ago, I hated her. I named her Gustapo. She was scary. And so yeah I hate spiders so I spent the night reading even after my daddy killed her. So I finished up 2 of the Shopaholic books. I liked them, they were funny, but they sort of drag on now because I kinda feel like every single one is the same thing now...

And I finished up The Other Boleyn Girl. Loved it, loved it!

And now I'm reading The Heart of a Woman by Maya Angelou. She is just...wow.

1984 is such a good book.

I'm reading, for the 10th time, A Density of Souls. And when I'm finished with this, I'll start reading Ripley's Game. I read The Talented Mr Ripley a week or two ago and loved it..

I just recently got into Harry Potter. I didn't think i'd join the bandwagon but i'm loving it. I'm just starting the fourth one now.

The 4th one's the best, but the movie makes it look really bad.

I joined the bandwagon my sophomore year, when the third book came out. Or was it freshman year? I don't remember.

Yeah, I meant to write boring instead of good for The Pilot's Wife. I was really tired when I wrote that, so that's probably why. I tend to type the wrong words when I'm really tired.Currently Reading I agree with you on that, The Pilot's Wife dragged on and on and the personality of Kathryn was just really annoying.

Wow, I haven't talked to ANYBODY who has disliked Lord Of The Flies before! I like it because I think it has a really interesting setting and the characters are all different, and some of them are kind of mysterious. It reminds me of Peter Pan at the beginning, when they all first get there and have the first meeting with the conch.

I don't know, I'm enjoying it so far. I'll tell you what I thought of it when I am finished. I read abour three or four books at once though, so I don't know when that will be.

Meggs---I agree "The Pilot's Wife" is pretty boring for Antia Shreve. I find it hard to believe that this is her most well known novel. Try "The Weight of Water"...it was much more interesting. And then there is another one...I can't remember the title...that tells the story of the husband in Weight of Water. Much better!
