Trump won and Republicans took over majority in the Senate and maintained the House by very slim margin. Yes, I think it is a mandate. Is it a huge mandate, heck no.

I'm pretty sure the biggest victory in this century, by all these measures, was Obama's 2008 win. But even in that case he got less than 53% of the vote, hardly a landslide in historical terms. Maybe I'm a tough customer when it comes to this particular term, but I don't think anyone since Reagan has gotten anything close to a "mandate," rather than just a pretty unremarkable win.

I would call Bush (41) win in 1988 a mandate/landslide. He won popular vote 53.4%-45.6% and received 426 electoral votes.

Meanwhile, the average person sees an attractive, intelligent, successful (worth 45 million) woman who is a registered "Independent" and leans right. By all appearances, she has nice family life with her husband and three children. Her believing biological men should not be able to play in women's sports is not being hateful of transgenders IMO. She is following the science which tells you that biological men have physical advantage even after transition has been completed. There is a reason why a biological male swimmer would place last in men's competition but would win women's events. I am not going to debate this again with you, you see discrimination and I see unfair competition. 

Megyn Kelly has spoken out about "woke" culture and has attacked corporations like Disney. She took her children out of rich school in NYC (JFK Jr attended the school many years ago) when they changed their curriculum to far-left social justice stuff. Good for her going after the phony hosts of "Morning Joe" who called Trump "Hitler" for years and then when to meet with him recently -lol. I am sure some of your hatred is because she publicly said she voted for Trump in 2024 like over 70 million other people. BTW - she asked Trump the tough questions in 2016 debate, and it so annoyed Trump he skipped Iowa debate that she was one of the moderators.

If you believe in God and "Heaven & Hell", Megyn Kelly IMO is not going to hell -lol. Anything she has done or said is nothing in comparison to the truly evil people there have been on this earth.

Have a nice weekend Jay and try to find something to like or love instead of posting about hoping people rot in hell. Ever notice Jay that the non-liberals on this board never express hatred of people they disagree with politically in terms that you and others do at times.

Am I supposed to be impressed by any one of those things? None of them have any relationship whatsoever to decency or morality. I have far more admiration for an ugly, stupid, homeless bum who happens to be of good character and tries not to harm others.

P.P.S. A touch of misogyny showing there, Zep, listing attractiveness first, as if it is her crowning achievement and primary function.

As of now, I myself am not even convinced that Joe Biden will run. He says he is, but that could just be to avoid being a lame duck, and to avoid the GOP targeting any potential Democrat frontrunner. He will have the plausible excuse of "health reasons" to drop out, allowing Kamala Harris or somebody else to swoop in and suck up Trump's oxygen.

Will Donald Trump be the GOP candidate, or will something radical happen to bar him from elected office ever again? This could mean another GOP candidate, with Trump receiving write-in votes from deluded MAGAists. Securing a win for Biden. Even i go with  for Biden. Perhaps Donald Trump's plan will go smoothly, and the idiot masses will lead him to a decisive victory? Leading to arguably the darkest day in American history.

I am an optimist, so as of now, I still have unearned faith in the electorate... I'll go withcomfortable win for Joe Biden.

After the Dump won reelection, I turned off the news. The skank that is Dump and those who voted for it is overwhelming. I was interested to see how many others stopped watching the news. Turns out I'm not alone. Liberals have turned off the news like me. Someday they'll ask why didn't we stop the madness, and our answer will be the same as the German's in the 30's, what were we supposed to do?

I still check the news occasionally or will click on ABCNews.com just for the headlines.

He's already lied about getting 4 tasks done that he campaigned heavily on:

1. Bringing down the price of groceries 

2. Ending the Russia-Ukraine war

3. Bringing down the price to gas.

4. Tax breaks for the middle class.

Wait until his MAGA crazies learn it'll cost $2 billion a year for his deportation plan that tax payers will be paying for. Don't expect anything to get cheaper the next four years.
