”The governor said among those co-operating with authorities is Mr Robinson's roommate, who he said was also his partner.
He said the partner did not have have any knowledge about the alleged shooting, had been "incredibly co-operative" and was working with investigators "right now".
He also confirmed that the partner was currently "transitioning from male to female", but, when asked by CNN, said that authorities do not yet know if that is relevant to the investigation.”

Yes of course. I know trans people - do you? It’s why I’m often surprised at the discourse because the trans people I know (which aren’t many I admit) just want to live their lives without being put in the firing line all the time.
My current position is: trans people yes, sex change surgery yes if above age 18, biological men playing in women’s sports no.
As I have argued before, the lack of concession for some of these items such as sports and how we handle treatment of gender dysphoria for minors have put trans people in the firing line because of an overreach by activists who are causing there to be a public backlash towards trans people.
Which is now only going to get worse if the shooter’s ideology motivates was related to these issues, and the evidence is suggesting currently it’s highly likely it’s turning this way unfortunately.
Why even pose the question ‘do you accept the existence of trans people’ as if it’s an extreme binary you’re for everything or you’re against everything. This is the key problem there is no reasonable positions anymore just extremes
Everything else including and especially gun culture and school shootings are more important. So let’s just agree where concessions are to be made so we can move onto more important topics. Instead, many will continue dying on a hill for everything achieving counter productive outcomes and stopping the more important issues to be talked about

Why not allow transgender minors, their families, and their doctors to decide together how to proceed based on their individual circumstances, without the government butting in? That would seem to me to be the default conservative position.

You're just seeing things that are not there, jumping to conclusions, apportioning blame to your pet hates. Oh I see, the evidence is based on multiple points that was just one of the latest. Based on the evidence below (if true, it may end up not being so), I think it's highly likely that the shooter killed Charlie Kirk because he found Charlie Kirk's views towards LGBT and other minorities to be hateful and that he was contributing to fascism. These are left-wing views if we had to align them on an ideological perspective.
It's not about blaming trans people or blaming the left etc.. it's more that recognising that it does appear left wing ideology can be radicalised in rare cases and we do we have to be careful not to have rhetoric so extreme that it leads to this.
a) BBC: Said "Charlie Kirk is full of hate and spreads Hate"
b) BBC: uses left-wing symbolism (e.g. the anti-fascist lyrics on the bullet-casing)
c) BBC: has a transgender parter
d) CNN: colleague says the shooter does not like Trump or Kirk
e) [Alleged]: shoots someone in the neck who is critical of transgender issues

I think this is the good point, and I think there are some cases where it would be appropriate for this to happen. My observation is that there is a bit of risk right now as I don't think we are precise enough on when and how we should diagnose and use these treatments. Fox News was using the "demonize trans people" last night. Gutfeld is a disgusting p.o.s. They really have no other outlet with this shooter other than to say he's mentally ill because his roommate was trans.
