I'm looking up some stuff about Stalin for school. I found a website that I can use and I keep cracking up because there are little jump-roping smiley faces all over the site.

A good friend of mine got deferred from Columbia. Some guy from out class supposedly got in... and the girl we all love to hate. No one knows yet. But I don't think it's good news. I just threw up a little thinking about college. Literally.
I'm tired of people imposing their own advice/opinions on me. I've evaluated each of them - they're valid points, but my initial choicxe is still ruling.
College admissions suck. Someone I know is applying to Yale. Her SAT scores? 800 Critical Reading, 760 Math, 800 Writing. And an 800 on her three Subject Tests. And she's WORRIED she'll get in.
"Men in Trees" is on TV and I know the street their walking down in the city. Pretty cool.
I've been having the roughest/saddest week.
Every day I've been waiting just to get to rehearsals (and the shows tomorrow and Sat.) where I can just forget about it.
I'm not exactly looking forward to when I find out about my early decision -- at least in the state I'm in right now.
I just spent a ridiculous amount of time working on my own Tale of Two Cities logo. (I am not a graphic artist by any stretch of the imagination. I was bored give me a break.) And now I can't get it to display correctly in my avatar. GRRRRR.

It looks good when it's big, son_of_a_gun. Maybe make the red a little brighter? It might show up a bit more.
I am FINALLY home.

We opened our show tonight and the audience was GREAT. I think everyone really liked it!

Good test scores don't necessarily do the trick at someplace like Yale; they can have their pick of kids with great test scores. If said person also has a 4.0 GPA and owns a small business or founded a charitable organization or is a champion sculler or something, then she's a shoo-in. Most mortals, however, are stuck in the mushy middle.
And I'm still waiting on letters from law schools I actually want to attend- the acceptance I got today was a nice bellwether, though.

Best of luck to you on that

Okay, I officially don't know how I am going to take my college final while resisting the urge to spaz out about my early acceptance decision next week.

My ED school says it sends out decisions in "December". Thanks. I'll be here, checking my mail (both snail and e-) obsessively.
Nevertheless, I quite like my ED school. They have nice chairs in their library, and that means a great deal.

Plum for president!
I just wanted to say that again.
And besides, referencing library chairs is SO amazing!

When you spend 6 hours a day sitting in butt-numbing Puritan contraptions, you think of these things.
I have AWFUL hunger pains. I've been eating, but they won't go away.

I made popcorn but...it doesn't really taste like popcorn.
*eats it anyway*
I am SO happy my finals are done!
Saturday- going to see DRS tour in Miami
Saturday night- going to see a show with my friend (no idea what show it is), then we are going out because next week she is moving to S. Carolina.
Sunday- Flying home!!
Monday- Wednesday: Going up to CT with mom and mommom to see my 2 month old cousin!
I think I'm going insane.
I need sleep.

Em - if you are, at least it will be a short trip!
Why can't you just go to bed? It will ALL be there when you wake up . . .
I'm writing the most difficult review of my (very short, non-professional) career, and I've apparently picked up a few perfectionist traits along the way. I'm driving myself to madness over something that a miniscule number of people are going to read. Finding the right words is just so daunting. But... I asked for this.
I'll write better tomorrow, though, if I've slept. Sleep soon.

A refreshed perspective can yield amazing insights . . .
Just saying
I can't sleep because an old injury is flaring up that's making it uncomfortable.
It's 12 degrees outside and still snowing.
I keep wanting to watch movies that I don't have and have no interest in watching any of the ones that I do.
I'm hungry and my skin is dry.
I'm eating apple jacks
Some weirdo just rang my doorbell to try and sell me furniture. I ran downstairs with no shoes on, and it's COLD.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I wish I were in school right now.
It's cold out.
