Perez Hilton posted a negative review of her new song and has correctly reported that Katy Perry has outsold her, so Gaga did something strange tonight. She posted a tweet telling her fans that she has a text message from Perez Hilton that was a pic of her in a wheelchair with Madonna holding a gun to her head and saying Karma is a b***h. He sent this the day of her 'accident'

Very random, of course her fans flocked to Perez Hilton's site and told him to die of AIDS and Cancer (which seems to be her fans go too)

Odd that this was posted on Madonnas Birthhday, and I thought her hip thing was going on for months before cancelling the tour and was not an accident?

I think the song starts out interesting and then by the chorus becomes very commercial. I like the song and I'm excited for the album, but I think she's getting a little too fake with the "artistry." Don't get me wrong - I think she is a great songwriter and I loved her concert this January, but I think if she went more commercial/"normal" she will have even more longevity.

According to Detox she just showed up, started filming, and forced them all to be on camera without consent. Detox had no idea and is pissed about it.

Applause has dropped to #6 on iTunes, while Katy Perry continues you dominate #1. I know it's early, but I can't help but thinking Gaga's might have a flop ahead of her.

Doubt it. He knew about it before he did his set and Mickey's knew about it in advance just neglected to tell him. Plus he got into the act and did enjoy it (They filmed him "play" yelling at Gaga)

So the "Applause" video came out.

It's an expressionistic freak show.

I don't hate it but I don't understand it. It really does just feel like she's taking cool themes/images and just putting them together and calling it art.

The video is a muddled mess, it's shot well but makes about as much sense as her thinking she is changing the face of the music industry. It would also appear she has been looking elsewhere for inspiration again.

I dont think this era is going to do that well for her, i think people seem bored already and finally the media are getting on to her.

the video is DAVID BOWIE's GLASS SPIDER TOUR... from the 80's but with more of a budget.

She was dressed very pretty and plain on GMA today. I think that was most shocking thing she has done in a long time. I think she should drop the schtick for a while and just. She's got a great voice.

She's cribbing hardcore from Dale Bozzio right now and I even see some Cindy Sherman influence in the video. Shes trying way too hard.

Perez Hilton needs to implode. He's just pissed she doesn't like him anymore.

I thought the video was stunning!! It's not really that complicated, she's just embodying different types of women that live for the APPLAUSE. And her body looks rocking.

To me the song is alright. It had a very nice beginning but once the chorus comes in, it feels VERY commercial.

I thought she had surgery? Not that I'm a fan of Perez - I think they are equally and annoyingly batsh*t - but I wouldn't put my faith in anything she said.

Katy Perry's "Roar" sold more than 557,000 downloads in its first week of release, claiming the top spot on Billboard's Digital Songs chart. Lady Gaga's "Applause" came in at #3 with 218,000 downloads.

Someone layered them on top of each other and it is the same freaking song.




But their friends so it's ok....

They are the same song.

Gaga's label is releasing the second single on 9/1. I smell trouble. Her album doesn't drop until November.

Her Born This Way Ball ticket sales were soft in the US because her album, Born This Way was DOA by the time she hit states. It garnered no real hits and little airplay. That's the real reason her tour was cancelled. Some are saying her surgery never happened.

Her tour sales were a disaster in South America, they gave half the tickets to a few of the stadium shows away in things like Ice Lollies for free. Russia didn't sell well, France was downsized to a smaller venue, the 2nd Twickenham show that was billed as 'sold out' in the UK was half empty etc etc, her people and herself did a very good job of trying to cover it up, sadly for her people have cell phones and cameras.

When her figures were released for the shows she did in North America before the 'hip injury' were released she averaged 9 thousand tickets sold per venue, sadly most of the venues were 16 to 18 thousand so it showed she was not selling (The first night in the states had many empty seats and each venue seemed to follow the same patten, many tickets were given for free last minute to radio stations, fans at the Born This Way bus etc). I think it's safe to say the hip thing was a load of rubbish (especially seeing her turn up at venues in her wheelchair surrounded by paparazzi but then inside the venue photographed walking in heels)

I am glad the finally the media are getting on to her. We will never know how many albums she actually would have sold with BTW because she sold them for 99 cents, homeless people could afford it. This time around it's the APP that is already proving that her sales figures wont really reflect what she has actually sold, the company knew that after BTW any album she released under just normal formats at normal price would be far far lower than BTW, that's why this App thing is been used.
