As "Krismas"
'Krismas is a secular holiday that celebrates the myth of Kris Kringle, commonly known as Santa Claus. It happens on December 25th of each year, and is also closely associated with Krismas Eve, which occurs December 24th… Krismas is about giving gifts, especially those “from the heart”; it is about the magic of childhood; it is about peace on earth; and it is about goodwill towards humankind, and anything else you wish it to mean that does not involve the Jesus as a savior bit.'

I was raised Catholic but I broke the habit using the 12 step program. Now I celebrate the holidays by drinking a fifth of McClellands, eating four pints of Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie and bobbing for broken ornaments.
For all of you who love Christmas and embrace the celebration, I say...oh...never mind.

I'm a Christian, I just don't do the whole X-mas thing. So it's gonna be some cheap Pinot, chocolate truffles and all 6 Star Wars movies!!! Is it weird that I'm super excited? Methinks it is...*so sad*
I'll be celebrating alone in coatcheck.
By breaking as many commandments as possible.
Btw, I'm looking for someone's wife to covet since my neighbor is single. Please submit all resumes to breakthe10@gmail.com.

I was raised catholic too then I realized that religion sucks so bad.......now that kris kringle thing doesnt sound so bad, as long as it doesnt involve RELIGION yuk
You have to covet other people's husbands as well, Taz. Let's keep everything equal opportunity.
All of the Claymates will be celebrating with him!
By DANCING!
I'll be celebrating alone in coatcheck.
I really should amend that. First I'm going to a friend's house but I can't stay for dinner because of work.

I'm agnostic, but I like the Feast of the Nativity in the Orthodox church which begins at sunset with the lighting of the lamps on January 6 and extends past midnight. It's a very festive, theatrical event.
For tomorrow, I go with the flow. It depends on who I'm with. If I'm with Jewish friends, not much in particular happens. If I'm with Christian friends, I join in with whatever they are doing. If they give gifts (which doesn't happen with the Orthodox Christmas/Nativity) I'll exchange gifts, not for any religious reason but because I'd feel like a heel accepting a gift given to me in the spirit of Christmas but not giving one back.
What I'll be doing tomorrow, I've been invited to a couple places so I will at least make appearances. One's a dinner and I will be exchanging a few gifts. Like I said, go with the flow.

Agnostic Jew. Probably hit the gym,see a movie and get some sushi.
Eating babies and performing abortions.
Listening to Xmas songs right now. Jew or Gentile - good music is good music! Irving Berlin wrote "White Xmas".
Went to a Hannukah party last nite, featuring millions of greasy Latkes/sour/cream/applesauce/jelly donuts,a cute young Rabbi, straight from 34th St, and dancing to the dulcet tones of the musical Jazz/Yid/Soulfunk band named "Brisket & Ribs". (for real).
Tomorrow, I'm cooking din for Mom, whose Anniversay is on Xmas Day. Yeah, I guess 2 young jewish kids thought it would be cool to marry on Xmas Day 1951.

Celebrating with my Italian cousins like I do every year. I love Christmas day!
laughing at people who put a 't' in x-ians. does that make it x-tmas?
spelling christians x-tians: intentional or just mud-fence dumb?
and for the record, i will consider pissing on you while you're boiling alive in the lake of fire for the 1,283,287th time. maybe.
Movies and Chinese food, like every other Jew I know.
I love that movies theaters are open on national holidays when almost everything else isn't. I'm either gonna go with The Curious Case of Benjamin Button or Last Chance Harvey..and then I have to work in the evening.
"In the old days, it was not called the Holiday Season; the Christians called it 'Christmas' and went to church; the Jews called it 'Hanukkah' and went to synagogue; the atheists went to parties and drank. People passing each other on the street would say 'Merry Christmas!' or 'Happy Hanukkah!' or (to the atheists) 'Look out for the wall!'" ~ Dave Barry, CHRISTMAS SHOPPING: A SURIVIVOR'S GUIDE
I spent tonight watching Mamma Mia and Rachel Getting Married. Well, half of Rachel Getting Married. ugh.

I might see if I can get a ticket to a show or something of that nature considering that the city is going to be empty.
I was born Jewish but now I am an atheist. Either way this would just be another day for me with nothing special going on.

This year it's tough being a movie buff AND Catholic. I'd love to sneak out later tonight and see about three movies in a row...
Normally, go to a movie (we were planning on seeing The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) and then Chinese food, just like Emcee, but this year I'm visiting friends in Seattle and we've been snowbound for a week!! So we're not going anywhere. We literally canNOT get out of the driveway.
So I guess it'll just be movies, and we'll save the Chinese for another night.

And the Chinese food is extra enjoyable if you can convince the restaurant staff to sing:

I slept in and now I'm gonna head over to the gym and then catch a 5:00 of 'Marley and Me'.
