Oops. I meant to write, "Don't worry...too much!"
I had completely forgotten about the billi-lights with my son until you mentioned it. Trust me. My son is the healthiest little boy I know. That was the last time I he gave us any "trouble." And in that picture, Brian looks like he's ready to get up and walk!
You're just anxious to get him home and start having a "normal" life, I know. Plus, your hormones are going berserk!!!
Warm, warm wishes to you all. Xxxooooo

Awe......... a moo-ing lullabye!
Kelley - that picture is absolutely adorable! He looks wonderful. I remember the first grandbaby here ended up going back for about almost two weeks. Today he's 3 years old and spends most of his time with arms outstretched, palms up, and shrugging shoulders. All of this is in preparation of "What? What did I do? I didn't do anything!" The last time I saw them, his little sister had a big bruise right in the middle of her forehead. This was where the baseball bat got her. I swear that if that boy were any more healthy, we'd all be half dead!
Well the doctor just left and his billi levels are down, but not quite low enough. They are doing another test at 3 and if his level is down to 13 we should be able to go home with the billiblanket, if not then we will stay another night and then most likely go home.
He is getting his attitude back. He is smacking his nurses when they try to give him a pacifier when he doesn't want it and has no problem letting us all know when he is tired of something and wants to snuggle or feed. He is a sweetheart and I am really can't wait to get him home.

I hope that all goes well today and you can get home and begin your recovery!
Congtrats again!
Well we got home last night around 7 and had a great night. I'm hoping that this trend continues, but for now he has himself on roughly a 4 hour schedule. We fed him and put him to bed at about 12:30 and he didn't wake up until about 4:30am. We fed him, changed his diaper and then he went right back to sleep. We went back to bed and he woke us up again around 8:30. We went back to the hospital this morning for some outpatient lab work to check his biliruben levels and he was up from 11.8 at discharge last night to a whopping 12.0 today. The doctor thinks that that is great, but wants him to stay on the biliblanket for a few hours here and there for the rest of the weekend as a precaution.
We took a walk this afternoon and he slept through the whole thing. He is the most laid back and sweet little baby.

Precious little man you have ...... Bless you all and enjoy every minute -- they grow
soooooo very fast. Thanks for the wonderful pic's.
Those pictures are exquisite! May I assume that the whole family is feeling hale and hearty right now? I hope so. You have one gorgeous family Kelley!
Thanks guys! We're all doing great. Brian is having a little problem with gaining enough weight because of his jaundice which threw him for a loop. We're on a really strict feeding schedule this weekend to try to jump start his weight gain aka fatting him up, but other than that he is doing great, still letting us sleep pretty well, other than this "force feeding" schedule for this weekend, but the good thing is that we are feeding him formula at the doctor's recommendation at every other feeding so that means that I can make my husband get up to feed him while I get some extra sleep. That makes sticking with formula WAY too tempting, but hopefully we will get off of it after this weekend.
Anyways, thank you again for allowing me to show off my little one.
Awww, I love the picture of him in the blanket.
He's adorable. I love his expression in the picture with the three of you.
Wow, utterly beautiful.
Congrats - what a lucky baby.
Oh Kel, what beautiful pictures! He's really adorable.
