I DIED when Debra or Sean started to laugh in their scenes together. HILARIOUS!!!!
O, my throat hurts now from laughing so hard.
GOD I LOVED THAT!!!!
Ugggh I have it on tape (cause I wasn't home) but I can't watch it yet cause stuff is still recording...
*taps foot impatiently*
I thought it was clever, witty, and funny. Not as smart and hysterical as it was in the first few seasons, but not as bad as a few of the past episodes have been. I love W&G and thought this was a fantastic way to kick off the new and final (tear) season. I wonder what was different about it on the west coast taping...
I just didnt really like the ending. It was kinda like "oh cant wait for it to come back on..*commercials....it comes back on* oh...it was over". Kinda dissapointing ending. I loved it anyway.
Megan and Baldwin were the pros. Eric had the least interesting material. And Hayes and Messing did the Idina/Kristen First Winter of WICKED "Popular" thing (remember THAT debate at this board???) -- half-cracking, half not, with the audience at home losing. But what the hell, it's a sitcom. We'll survive.

Are they doing it live again for PST? I would love to see how they will change it, if they do at all.

"half-cracking, half not, with the audience at home losing."
And the studio audience "in" on it.
I thought tonight's episode was great! Very witty and I think I love Debra Messing a little more .
Did Megan Mullally really have surgery on her foot in real life?

She is wildly known to have webbed feet.
loved the george bush crack and her little dance after....i hop the dvd will have both live versions. i think this episode was better than its been in recent memory. it would be VERY interesting to see a sitcom do it live all the time(like snl, but sitcom) lol. megan's a pro indeed. kudos to her

We watched it and we howled with laughter! Brilliant work by all. I loved the Bush and DeLay jokes, but this to me was an example of very talented actors and excellent writing!

Note to producers: if you're going to go live, hire Alec Baldwin.
I'm watching the West Coast version right now.
Debra was struggling not to laugh in her scene with Sean (and she did this thing with her hair that was funny).
For those that want to watch the West Coast version, you can watch it online at the official site tomorrow.
EDIT: Debra and Sean just laughed when she pushed him after he said he has never cheated.

Namo- that is what my wife said tonight, he is calm and cool (and a bit chunky!). He is so funny on SNL!
I can see why they paired Debra and Sean up. Those two were the ones that messed up the most (which would create more "unintentional" laughter...in case the show itself wasn't funny).

Teth - Debra and Sean were in control at every moment. Masters of comedy.

Which is why the West Coast people are reporting that they laughed in the same places as the east coast broadcast. It's ALL showbiz. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Namo, not at all. It was not like on SNL when Chris Farley made Christina and David crack up - that was a master taking control of kids!

Are you sure that they didn't just tape it live? Like, one take, no editing? That's what I assumed it was! So both East and West coasts would get the same show, explaining why the laughed in the same places.

No, they performed the episode twice. Once for normal people and then again for people on the West Coast.
When Season 8 comes out on DVD...will they just have one version, or do we think they'll have both as a bonus?
my guess is the dvd will have both versions
Namo, oh thank God I'm not paired in with the "normal people"

The rumor mill has Baldwin as a possible replacement for Lithgow in DRS. Based on tonight's show, and his past SNL appearances, I think he'd be great!
