Guy Ritchie should NEVER work again. Seriously.
Oh and RobbO, dahlink, there was no code. We were talking about the mahoosive bomb that was Four Rooms.
guy ritchie SO should work again - as my pool boy.
Well yes. Let me clarify my statement: he should never direct another film. He can "clean your pool" all he likes .
only he'll be directing films alright but they'll be more of the "chi chi larue" genre.
"***Stop the Presses***
We have it all wrong. Madonna is meeting with Rowling to try and get Guy Ritchie a directing job"

What's next?
Britney trying to get K-Fed on the soundtrack?
Madge ISN'T British, so she won't be in the film.
Guy ISN'T talented, so he won't direct.
Exactly what I was thinking, Margo. With her cinematic record, I can't think of a surer way to go from the best Harry Potter film to the worst.
I agree with previous posts- please do not let Guy Ritchie ever direct another film. At this point, he should resign himself to being Mr. Ciccone (or even Mrs. Ciccone from what I've heard).
Madonna recently said that she was giving up acting (everyone breathe a sigh in unison). However, given her life is a series of paradoxes, I didn't buy it.
I think it's a huge mistake to cast her, in any small way, in a Harry Potter film. She's just too...too...MADONNA. It never works.
That being said, I'm still VERY MUCH hung up on you, Madge. Call me, I'd love to come to Highgrove for Soy Lattes and Pilates!
Please. No Harry Potter for Madonna.
I can barely handle all this "name that celebrity!" casting as it is.
Her 2 minute cameo in Die Another Day was pretty shameful, so maybe that prompted her to "give up" acting?
She's not a great actress. But she can give great performances. She just requires a hard ass director--look at some of her best performances: mostly all hard asses. I would love to see Tarantino get ahold of her like he wants to.
The other problem is as mentioned above---she's so famous it's hard not to think "Madonna" and let her have a character.
And, yes, she's not British (enough lol) to warrant casting.
I agree with all of your sentiments about Madonna.
I was going to say she couldn't be in the film because the part of Rita Skeeter has already been cast.
Then I thought, oooh, make her the painting of Sirus Black's mother! Then everyone in the cast would get to yell "Shut Up" at her on a regular basis!
She's been shown to be an awful actress surrounded by average acting ability, how great will she look next to the likes of a Maggie Smith. Who does she think she is, for God's sake?
Someone who doesn't let other people's opinions stop her from TRYING to succeed. From behaving like most any performer would--to accomplish as much as one can.
If we all let others' opinion or our flaws halt us, none of us would succeed in this business--or any business.
