Does anyone remember the days of the Broadway.com message board? That it where my board addiction started.

Posted: 9/2/04 at 7:20pmSorry to disappoint you but this board would not be HALF as popular if Broadway.com didn't get rid of their board.It's a simple fact. No debate necessary. The thing I miss is that there were many more "adults" on that board as many of it's members, myself included, came over after running away from All That Chat.

It's really slowed down a lot since I first joined. I'm not entirely sure why.
Also, the board has a not-entirely-undeserved reputation for being really harsh.

Posted: 9/2/04 at 10:26pmI almost happened on the old board. I came here last fall because All That Chat wouldn't let me sign on (AOL is verboten you know). And now, for the first time in my life, I have the word "legend" under my name. Some days, that fact alone helps me cope. Some days. (We aren't always kind to one another, and we sometimes are downright hateful ... but this is a community of sorts.) Others, it at least gives me a place to open my big mouth and spew, baby, spew. So I do. I do go on here, but at least nobody stops me. Not yet.

The anniversary of the demise of bway.com's boards is shortly after the anniversay of this site starting up. Essentially, we've already missed it.
And *sigh* I miss the bway.com boards

This site was running for a little while before it was announced that the broadway.com board was to close and then it carried on for a while and you could still access it for a fair while from a direct link when they took the entrance to it off of the website. So it's probably about 3 or 4 months different. But we still missed it.
