The website has a cast list with current photos of the cast.

It really is a shame Arquette isn't taking part in this. It was one of (if not the) first big thing she did and being such a fan of hers I'd love to know her thoughts on it.

Serves him right for starring in that crap sequel. lol

Holy crap they got the hall monitor from the first one.
LESLIE HOFFMAN
“Hall Monitor”
I don't see Breckin Meyer on that list. Hopefully they can get him as well!
Am I the only one who liked Part 2?
I never got the love for DREAM WARRIORS and NEW NIGHTMARE, but find so much cheesy enjoyment in Part 2, which few seem to do. I wish I was invited to that pool party! Even if the parents were there! I would've worn my thinnest tie and most painfully pastel suit...
Part 1, needless to say, will always be far and away the best entry.

Heather Langdenkamp & Wes Craven are the reason for 23 & New Nightmare's greatness.

Well NEW NIGHTMARE was just a pretty brilliant film on it's own.
I liked part two. Mark Patton in a jock strap? C'mon. I wouldn't want to see him in a jock strap now, but back then it was nice.

Heather Langenkamp.... Brooke Theiss... JoAnne Willett.... wow... it's like a Just the 10 of Us mini-reunion!!! haha
Was Johnny Depp not avaialble?

Johnny won't so much as acknowledge ANOES. Patricia is often tough to get because her schedule. She was going to go to a big convention honoring ANOES but because of Medium she had to back out.

I can't really think of a good marketing reason to use the new photo. I don't see how it's gonna help sell the new movie if it makes the old fans bitter.
Oh, Freddy. Dream Warriors was basically one of my favorite movies as a kid. This thread is totally making me want to watch it.
My brother used to do open mic with the guy who played Rick in the 4th movie. Andras Jones, of the eternal classic Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-a-Rama. Good musician.
2 and 5 are the only ones I don't remember. I'm guessing because they were the worst.
#2 is pure trash
#4 is enjoyable
#5 is a joke
#6 is a horrible way to "end" the series
#1,3, and New Nightmare are brilliant
I used to be so hot for Mark Patton.....I still have my memories. :) I think Part 1 and 3 are the only ones I can watch. I don't care for the others. when Roseanne showed up at the beginning of Part 2, I knew it was gonna blow.
I love that they got the hall monitor. She freaked me out. "Hey Nancy, no running in the halls." Total chills.....
Isn't Roseanne in Freddy's Dead, not Part 2?
Yeah, Roseanne (and Tom Arnold) are in "Freddy's Dead"
An interview with Mark Patton from 2003
I love the opening sequence of Freddy's Revenge, the rest of it...not so much.
It was the first horror movie I saw in the theater, though. I think it was 12 or so.
Using the new image doesn't bother me so much, I imagine the marketing people are thinking people who see the remake will go look for the other movies. I can see why people are upset but, eh, I don't care so much.
And I already have the DVD boxed set that's already out.
"Freddy's Dead" is INFINITELY worse than "Dream Child."
Can't wait for the documentary either, although I can't imagine why they're not getting it out for the release of the new movie.

I actually did end up watching Dream Warriors last night. Still enjoyable, although I guess I wasn't as much in the horror mood as I thought I was. I was more preoccupied with how hot Larry Fishburne was in that movie than I was with anything else.
I *like* "Dream Warriors" but never got the heaps of love for it. I didn't like the whole concept that people became super heroes in their dreams, it took out a lot of the horror when the people weren't afraid of Freddy so much.
Oooh, poor Mark Patton's not aging terribly well. I love #2 now because it's unintentionally the gayest horror film, which I didn't perceive as a child when I first saw these movies. #2 was just slow and boring then. Not no 'mo!
Ex-dreamboat Danny Hassel joined the army after 9/11, how interesting.
The one face that really shocked me was Tuesday Knight (above). I always loved that name, and the opening theme song to Dream Master (my personal fave! time loops! soul pizza! power transference! Argento-esque light scheme! Lisa Wilcox kicking ass!). BUT, more shocking I've seen her perform on Veronica Mars, Weeds, and Heroes and had no clue that was who I was watching. Gotta go re-view some of those episodes now.
#3 is awesome because it is essentially an X-Men film done well.
#5 is sheer cheese but so fun to see some characters carry over. Danny's death freaks me out.
#1 is actually a horror film. Great, but not as fun as 3 and 4.
Freddy's Dead has some things going for it, but it's largely crap. Lisa Zane is effective. Meh.
New Nightmare is bold and every time I watch it I am surprised how much I like it.
I am seriously geeking out about this documentary! These movies were life and death to me as a child.
Anyone have Tuesday Knight's self-titled pop album? =)
I think there's a hidden link to dl the album here:

And here's Tuesday talking about NOES4:

Ugh, I HATED her as Kristin

She was a nad Kristen, her acting was horrid yet i used to love her sontg in the film (Running from a Nightmare)
Im prob one of the biggest Elm St fans in the world. The replacing Robert on the box set pic is a bit of a smack in the face. Though i don't think we need another box set unless there gonna beef up the features. Here in the UK they released 1 to 5 box set, a tear later 1 to 6, a year later 1 - 7, it was such a rip off.
Im hoping the new remake wont be a total mess like Halooween or Friday 13th, but guess we will find out soon enough.
The Docu Never Sleep Again is far more intresting to me, the amount of people they have brought back is wicked.
Oh and 1,3 and 7 are the best. Anyone who picks the dreadful part 2 over New Nightmare needs medication lol
