Florida man convicted of murdering 3-year-old "gay" son


A Florida man stands convicted of second-degree murder after killing his 3-year-old son because he thought the boy might grow up to be gay. A Tampa jury on Thursday found Ronnie Paris Jr. guilty of second-degree manslaughter and aggravated child abuse in the death of his son, Ronnie Antonio Paris. According to The Tampa Tribune, the boy was beaten so badly that he became lethargic, stopped eating, and began wetting himself. On January 22 the boy went into a coma and died six days later. Experts testified that his death was caused by blunt trauma to the head.

The child's mother, Nysherra Paris, testified that her husband was trying to "toughen up" their son because he was worried he might grow up to be gay. Nysherra Paris, who never reported any abuse until February, is charged with child neglect and faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted. Ronnie Paris will be sentenced next month, and he faces life in prison. (Sirius/OutQ)

my God........what is wrong with people in this country. You know, the second Snake Plisken movie, Escape from LA.......seems prophetic in regards to what is happening here.

How do you even tell if a 3rd old is gay?

This should make Fred Phelps and his ilk proud indeed. They are obviously doing their job, when it comes to preying on peoples worst fears. If you demonize something long enough and loudly enough eventually people who are unable or unwilling to think for themselves will start to believe it. In this case, the result was the murder of an innocent 3 year old.

I'm sure the father will be welcomed with opened arms when he arrives in prison. There are gonna be a lot of lonely inmates who are gonna make him feel loved and wanted in ways that one can only hope will make him suffer the way his son did. Prison rape isn't bad enough for this guy.

Well Ronnie Paris if you hate "gay" people, you are going to LOVE prison! The men there are all 110% straight, but "occasionally" have sex with each other. I can only hope your 15 years will really hone your defective Gaydar.

My guess is that this man is not okay in the head. Even some of the ugliest and nastiest homophobes don't assume their three-year-olds to be gay. I'm not saying he shouldn't receive the full punishment... just that I think there's more disturbance in his head than simply thinking his son was gay.
