That poor Japanese guy. Of all the times to break a lace. He recovered well considering the circumstances, though. But the bitchy impatient audience clap was extremely rude and unnecessary.
6'5"! Yikes!
Brd, that's naughty. But, Evan is a cut above, so far.
Miss P, we try!
I love Stefane. His outfit made me think of James Marsden from Enchanted-- I am still wondering how to feel about that. It was not as good as his short-program for sure.
Evan gets them, too, Hep!
agreed, strummergirl...he's a phenomenal spinner, though...I wish they could all spin like him. We call him Prince Charming.
Lambiel just didn't have it tonight. He seemed so slow.
it's Johnny Weir of course it is!
and Jeremy Abbott will finish in the top 10!
Wow, Weird is doing great so far. Good for him!
Good for him.
I thought he was great!!!
That scoring seems a bit low. Not that I am any kind of expert in skating.

Is it me or was Johnny Weir underscored both in the short program and long program? The crowd was definitely not happy. Neither am I.

Considering that he placed below Lambiel, I'm thinking they scored Weir on the low side. Doesn't make sense to me.
I am apathetic toward Weir but he got screwed there. That was a beautiful performance, even the TV analysts who have been so patronizing and backhanded regarding Johnny though that was an underscore.
Weir deserved much, much better.
Jane must be apoplectic right now!!!

The Russian looks like a spaz! I am voting for the American!
Plushenko's program doesn't compare to Lysacek. Combine that with his shaky jumps, and the gold should go to Evan. If Plushenko wins, nobody else ever had a chance.
He should have done Sex Bomb:

After the way Weir was scored nothing would surprise me.
I did NOT like those faces Plushy made as he finished. Good for Lysacek.
