No, You've misread me. I am such the opposite of those two things. In fact, lost people because I'm very outspoken on those two issues, in addition to guns. There is definitely a reason to not like me. However, homophobia and racism are inaccurate.
^ Which all has absolutely nothing to do with RuPaul Season 7, but we digress...
The teaser on Facebook was everything an opening episode should be-- just enough gimmicks to help you sort out the dozen or so new girls, and a quick intro of the pit crew in their heavily redacted birthday suits (damn you Logo's standards and practices dept!)
Seems like the gang has tipped WAYYYY over into comedy queen territory this year, with 2 or 3 vying for the old-hollywood bitch crown, 2 or 3 big girls, 2 or 3 tasteless housewife types, and a whole litter of baby faced kittens who haven't learned to sew (and in some cases, walk) yet. Don't think there are any out-and-out big-name star types like a Courtney Act (which might be a good thing, come to think of it). The fact that we got a parade of some 36 different ensemble looks in the first half hour of the season is heaven for us fashionistas in the audience. The teaser ends just before the judging kicks in, so stay tuned for Monday night's "surprise reveal?!?" as to who gets kicked off. Yay, the Drag Race wait is finally over!
Darienne was not hateful. In a season where the entire second half of the show when people got along editing had to make a villain out of someone. Darienne and Courtney unfortunately got that.
I'm sorry TheatreFan, but Darienne was disgusting, maybe even worse than any of those others that I mentioned. Watching the last half of the season today before the premiere, I was reminded of just what a hateful nasty bitch she is.
Darienne was pretty foul, but for me she was a pale shadow of the horror of the unspeakable Delta Work who just had nothing going for her at all.
There's certainly no immediate stand-out this year, no Bianca or Sharon Needles who seemed to grab the attention immediately.

I felt like the first challege was a little TOO much. It was fun to see different looks and all... but there was no "winner". It took up almost half the episode and didn't leave much edit time for workplace banter (where you really get to know the queens). Regardless, I'm a fan of Max this season -- enjoying her looks, although the accent could go. Sasha Belle irritates me.
I just watched UNTUCKED online. I hate that you have to wait until the next day to do that, it makes absolutely no sense. You can't tell me that Logo needed to free up that half hour slot with anything else because the only thing they air is DRAG RACE, THE GOLDEN GIRLS and WILL & GRACE. Plus, the new format isn't all that they promised it would be. It's less fun, not uncensored (like they said it would be) and even borders on sad. This season is just weird. It falls into the "It wasn't broke, why the hell fix it?" camp.
