Well glad to be of entertainment. I really can't see how a world view that says maybe political violence is a bad thing and shouldn't be celebrated, and maybe the evidence is pointing to a certain ideological motive is 'inane'. I really don't.
But I also can't see why Bernadette didn't get nominated for a Tony in Follies, so perhaps I don't know what the hell is going on.

It's really not worth my time to hunt down your retraction to your alleged leaving of BroadwayWorld. Like I have said those who have to announce their departure never end up leaving or like some others just show back up under another name thinking none of us realize who they were/are."
Ok, well if you must know, my leaving post was removed for some reason. I actually don't know what happened if anyone cares to inform (I suspect Sutton did something)? So I thought perhaps that's the first sign I should stay as apparently I can't even say goodbye?
The second sign was that of course I saw you vultures going after Nicole AGAIN and I had to say something because I'm sick of this pathetic witch hunting. You lose an election, you lose the culture to 'the right' and you still continue this childish behaviour.
When will you learn?

That one is quite easy. She was terrible.

What are you guys actually reacting to then?
That must be the reason why there are zero arguments against the well-substantiated facts and points Binau is making.
binau, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you used to be the poster who would obsessively and insufferably bring up religion every chance they got on this board? Constantly and endlessly bashing any organized religion? You were a major pain in the ass and then one day you mellowed out and started acting like a relatively normal person. This was years ago and then you changed and I began to like your posts.
It seems again like you're having some sort of mental breakdown and it's just really unpleasant to be around. You're clogging up this already toxic board with your relentless policing. Just take a step back and gather yourself. I know you probably won't, because your ego is greedily slurping up every interaction but please... consider it.

Gurl, I've been posting here for almost 20 years. That in itself is probably sad, but I highly respect many of you (and many people who are no longer around) and you have greatly improved my experience of this art form and therefore the happiness of my life.
I know it's not exactly mutual anymore especially after the board has diverged so much from me ideologically over the years, so I accept my days here are numbered one way or another. But I think if you read my 'goodbye post' you would see I was quite sincere in my thanks and reminiscences of being here, about the contributions I have made and the amazing contributions I see others make here. I'm not looking for cheap attention lol.

Are the “facts” in the room with us now? Because all I see are opinions, pleas for “the left” to accept bigotry and threats of violence from “the right” because Free Speech, and repeated assertions that everyone in this thread is calling for political violence against anyone we disagree with (which is literally not happening).

What a great and respectable man in that clip. He is absolutely right. Charlie constantly reached out to the black community, including them, trying to build and create a better world with them, always teaching them to reach their full potential, as he did with every other group.
There are so many clips of this out there, I encourage you to watch all of them. Recently he had a beautiful conversation with a very kind black girl, she initially took on the victim role, but in the end she was changed, she went to university and learned to understand that it's all about who you really are. The wonderful clip posted in this thread is just one of the thousands of beautiful examples.
Personally, I am an atheist and really do not like his religious beliefs. But that's ok. Religion or color does not define a person. Character does.
I am not a particularly big fan of Nicole as an artist, but it does seem like she has got some real character. I can definitely understand why she liked this clip. Who on earth could disagree with what this man says? It's all about character. This is the only right path forward.

Look, you aren't wrong I agree. I think what I'd say is that, I feel over the last 5 years I am having a kind of new religion imposed upon me that that keeps popping up here. So that is probably why it is invoking a similar level of intensity. Also, if it isn't obvious I am gay and unfortunately had to experience a religious education which was very traumatic and probably is part of this underlying motivation.
I try not to complain everywhere and in every thread about it, except in cases where the dogma of the new religion is on full display (e.g.the Nicole issues, the Patti/Kecia issues, the Great Comet saga, the off-topic board etc.). However, I think you're right that I can probably calm down a little bit on this for the sake of everyone else.

Charlie ia great about reaching out to "Pick Mes" who think if they placate to the right it will spare them should they ever get the control they want or they're so deluded that they are "one of them" when they are not.
EVERYONE here believes murder is BAD... right?
If so, what are we all arguing about?
Why does binau think this one lunatic Tyler Robinson is representative of us?

I hear you. But you've made your point several times over. Eventually people stop listening. We all have other things to do with our time besides arguing on the internet. The world is chaos right now. Just take a step back and take some deep breaths. You gotta ask yourself if it's worth all the time and energy. Wishing you the best!
It’s a true shame that this forum has been overrun by ignorance.

Yes, for example the points Binau made about the assassination of Kirk.
Here are some facts about the family of the killer, the authorities and the publicly available social media facts, that some posters do not wish to accept.
The family and friends of the killer explain that he had become a radicalized leftist since a few years and they were worried about that. Usually internet, universities and (friend)groups or partners are the main reasons for that.
He was dating a trans guy (or transgirl, however you want to put it). 6 trans people in their circle posted descriptions of the killing in the days and weeks before the killing. All with the date September 10th added. Tyler's transgender partner is friends with a transgender account on TikTok that goes by the name "churbum75m (saw Tyler June 30th)". Minutes after Charlie was confirmed dead this transgender posted "WE F*CKING DID IT". Another account in their group, "TallyHallAlbum" had said on september 3rd: "it'd be funny if someone like charlie kirk got shot on september 10th LMAO". Another account in their friendlist, trans group and Utah area (altulige) had posted: "september 10th will be a very interesting day". And another account (NajraGalvz) had posted a day before the killing: "Charlie kirk is coming to my college tomorrow maybe someone evaporate him literally. Let's just say something big will happen tomorrow". There are now 6 known people in his circle that seem to have had prior knowlegde of the killing.
Aside from that, two of the bullets found in Tyler's rifle had engravings consistent with radical far left transgender ideology. "Notices bulge OwO" is a reference to "chasers", gay men who like trans women. Noticing the trans man's "bulge". Also known as GAMP. Which means he is attracted to transgenders. The other bullet had engraved "Catch fascist" which is self explanatory. He was also a member of Antifa, he dressed in all black, and he was a member of a pro-trans and gay movement. One of the other bullets had the text: "If you read this you are gay LMAO" ingraved, which was obviously meant as a "funny" insult to Kirk, because the shooter incorrectly assumed that Kirk would take that as an insult or would be against that.
We also know that Tyler was very active on transgender discords. A hotbed for radicalization and far left extremism. The question is, who else were involved in the planning?
According to his father Tyler had no rifle in his possession and never had weapon training, so who gave the rifle to him? It seems like a combined effort involving multiple people and meticulous planning.
By the way, Charlie never claimed trans people do not exist. He only asked people "what is a woman" and made the statement that young children should not be exposed to these medications, things like that. Personally I am just interested in facts. Of course trans people do exist and they should have the same rights as everyone else. Because is a person their brain or the shape of some body parts? I think it's both. And some people are lucky that these things match, while others find out that it doesn't match. To the people say "trans men are not real women", I would like to say: True, but nobody is claiming that. That's why they are trans women, born with a female brain and a male body" (or vice versa). Nobody claims they are naturally born women. There isn't even a discussion, there is room for all of it. We should just name it for what it is and not pretend anything else.
The same goes for this case and all the details that are coming out. The fact is that killing someone over a political opinion is radical. And that there is no need at all for attacking people who express grief over it or who mention the facts. As is happening in this thread. Because that's quite radical as well.
Finally, research shows that nearly half of Gen Z thinks violence over political opinions is acceptable. In previous generations such as the Baby Boomers this was only 2%. That’s a problem. We need deradicalization programs on universities, (online)platforms and public organizations.

Sad. But hey, at least they’re consistent.

They should ask binau! binau knows!"
Wow, this is exactly the kind of authoritarian response I was expecting from 'the right' and exactly what I was trying to warn of. However, we don't need to cover old ground but if the facts I outlined from BBC/CNN [i.e. neutral/left-wing sources] are true (they may not be), I don't think they need much more evidence to establish the motive. That is the point I was trying to make.

Well I don't think you read the posts so I don't blame you for taking them like that. However, that really doesn't capture what I was trying to say and if it does, I'm sorry I really didn't intend that meaning.
The main points I want to make are 1. Stop it with this cancel culture nonsense it doesn't work and makes things worse - leave Nicole alone (and Chenoweth) 2. Don't celebrate political violence it makes things worse (It's disingenuous for you to say that I think EVERYONE is, I was even clear to say that many aren't but some are) 3. The ideological motives of the shooter are likely left-wing ideological (I even presented a well structured argument to show why it's not just an 'opinion', it's based on the combination of at least 5 facts from the BBC/CNN).
For some reason everyone seemed to go crazy over this. Maybe I can express myself better and in fewer words, but I don't really find this to be very controversial.
