Then make enough noise like the UK did after Dunblane in the 80s, get guns f*****g guns banned, yes it will take awhile to get them off the streets but it did here, but why bloody add to it? I appreciate your passion...and I actually agree with you. But there is a Constitutional right to own a gun in this country. Now...we can argue over the wording of the Second Amendment, but the Supreme Court has ruled over and over again about the Constitutionality of private citizens owning handguns.

Your 'it will take time to get them off the streets' is a profound understatement. Only by a Constitutional Amendment or a remarkable change in the Supreme Court make-up will that happen. And I do not believe that will happen in my lifetime.

Not gonna lie, it's pissing me off how people keep tweeting and posting on Facebook that the town in Newton and not Newtown. There is a big difference. Newton in is MA and NJ. Though, there is a Newtown in PA too.

I am still (maybe naively) that people can change things if they stand up and keep making noise, not just when it happens but all the time. Of course, you don't care about another country's constitution. I have no idea what the British equivalent says, and likely will never care unless it effects me. But that outdated piece of paper is the law of the land and is the basis of 1/3 of our government's whole existence, the Supreme Court. It cannot be dismissed no matter how many people use it for their own evil reasons, such as infringing on other people's rights.

And that day care thing happened in Michigan and to be blunt, that is down the list of effed up things that state's conservative government is doing that includes infringing on reproductive rights for women and trying to destroy the labor unions in the state. But that is one of 50 states. States have their own set of laws and statutes. I doubt any such thing could get passed in states with more restricted gun laws but a lot of states with a heightened gun culture often directly effect what the federal gov't can and can not do with gun laws.

It is still unclear what this senseless shooter was doing with a gun, whether he had his own permit, or was illegally wielding a firearm, had mental issues, or what. We still do not know his identity.

Apparently the shooter was the son of one of the teachers. She is dead too.

They identified the guy and his facebook page is being passed around. NBC News confirmed his identity as Ryan Lanza.

Well, to me the town does matter because I live near Newton in NJ. Not to mention it is false reporting.
