I AM SO PUMPED (and nervous!) FOR USA v CHN Women's Beach Volleyball! Go! Go! Go! LOVE THEM.



Nastia looks utterly jaded. I'm so over gymnastics and these goddamn Chinese bullsh*tters. The sport has lost all its sport. No longer fun or innocent or viewer-engaging. Bela said it right: "Gymnastics has lost its trademark."

In any case, congratulations to the 1-2-3 Mens 100m Hurdle win! And Women's discus USA gold!

These Mens Gymnasts!!! I just want to roll on the mats with them and lick... er... nevermind...

Anyone catch the piece at the end of the broadcast about the piece about baseball and softball being dropped from the the Olypmics. When they mentioned what happend during the US v China baseball game, looks like it's not going to help the sports chances of getting reinstated in 2016. The 100 hurdle sweep was awesome!

I have already been "spoiled" for tonight's gymnastics! But, I do not know the details. I wonder if the gym coach of Beijing Middle School has been asked to sub in as a judge?

I have seen the final day's apparatus finals. They were some of the wobbliest gymnastics finals you could imagine. I guarantee that you will all want to see them. As an unbiased observer, I don't think you could complain about the judging tonight.

On my way to work this morning I passed a local Chinese restaurant whose windows were all smashed. I'd hate to think this was Olympics related.

I'm sure that there has been bias. That is always the problem with any event requiring subjective judging. I'm just don't think that you will be claiming bias tonight.

I'm sure you don't want to know what happened to Lolo, either.

In track and field, the women's 100m hurdles, women's 400m and men's 1500m are contested. In diving, historically dominant China will likely have two of its stars on display in men's 3m springboard final.

Coverage of men's BMX cycling (LIVE ET/CT). New to the Olympic program, the unpredictable racing event features steeply banked turns, big jumps and huge crashes. In gymnastics, it's the final night of individual event competition (men's parallel and high bars; women's balance beam). Also, track and field, finals in women's 400m, 100m hurdles, and men's 1500m. Plus, the men's springboard diving final.

There is a British runner, a winner tonight, who skipped three drug tests. How did she talk her way out of that? She must've, because she made it to the Games.

Don't get me started. Don't even get me started about those divers. Even though USA kinda sucked... I love watching them when they shower-off after the dive because sometimes they grab their junk. Eww, not to sound like I'm all horned-up watching these games but it definitely makes for some entertaining conversation when you're watching with a bunch of friends and all we can say is MMMMM!!! instead of rooting-them-on.

WHAT. A. MATCH.

The United States women offed the Italians in a 5-set match to advance to the Volleyball semifinals. Italy is ranked number 2 in the world, and the United States is ranked 4th.

The match was so back and forth, Italy won the first set, then the US, then Italy, and the US closed out the final two thanks to clutch serving by substitute Lindsay Berg!

Hope someone out there was watching!

Wait, men's diving was on last night? I had my television on, how did I miss that?? Departie, yummy!!

I'm glad the gymnastics is on at a reasonable hour tonight. I'm very pleased with their event finals coverage as we're getting to see gymnasts from other countries who we'd normally not get to see.
