Sherie Rene Scott and her husband Kurt Deutsch. And Sherie likes to say that "boom" is what happens when they get to together.

That's so cute. I never realized that.

Aw, Sarah, you know who Sherie Rene Scott is!

While we're on the topic of Adam audio... did anyone from here make the "We Still Love Adam Pascal" collection? I have a few live songs of his that are tagged with that as the album title. hee.

I never knew that, either. I wondered, but the occasion never really came up to ask.

While we're on the subject, how do you pronounce it?

I know who Sherie is, I just didn't know that she was involved with the title. I thought it might be another Sherie.

What I've heard is "shickaboom." It's a phrase from old '50's doo-wop too, which is a kind of nice reference to the fact that recording musicals might be considered old-fashioned.

ETA: Though they didn't really start out doing that, so maybe it's more that they're an old-fashioned record company that cares about the music and the artists.

I've actually come across quite a few people who hadn't even heard of Rent before the DVD came out, and now love it.

That's great. Even split between two versions it's on top!

I just tried to post on Rentsecrets, but I keep getting an error message. Anyone else have a problem?

Yes, Chloe! I was just about to ask if anyone else was having the same problem. It's the same for all of LJ, I think. I'm kind of annoyed, because I actually have a secret to submit (not to rentsecrets).

I need an Advil.

I was just at a bar mitzvah for a family friend, and the boys (including the boy whose bar mitzvah it was) were lighting matches and flinging stuff across the table. Then the boy's grandmother gives the kid a freakin' LIGHTER! No one did anything, and I had to sit next to him. Ugh.

Chloe, I'm not sure if you want us mentioning the tracks openly on the thread (if not, just let me know and I'll edit this).

Beneath a Velvet Sky is so emo*. Heh, Adam, I love you. It's actually a good song, though, and probably my favorite of the Mute songs.

I also wanted to send out another special thanks to Chloe for sending around the Mute songs in good quality audio! I know someone posted a few of them on LJ once, but they were full of tape hiss. Thanks, Chloe. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eight

* Sorry, I do hate that word, but at least I'm using it correctly unlike most kids these days!

It sounds like they haven't quite actually made it to manhood yet. Sorry you had a stressful afternoon.

Here's Cybele's latest update:

"Just a quick reminder that I will be appearing on NBC Weekend Today Show tomorrow morning, Sunday March 12th, at around 8:40 AM.

If you're not up that early on a Sunday, I'm sooo jealous!!!

A friend I work with had heard of Rent but knew nothing about it. She made (friendly) fun of me when the movie came out and I was heading towards an upswing of obsessive behavior. When the DVD came out she saw it with a friend and now she is hooked. She even got all three of her kids hooked - 2 teens and a 3rd grader. :) Now I have someone to go see the tour with when it comes to town in April! :)

Is it weird that I'm going to tape that? (Cybele on the Today Show)

Chloe is our human Adam news feed. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eight

Yay for Cybele. Although... she seems to be up that early anyway. I remember when Sarah was joking that Adam must have posted one of her entries because there were no capital letters and someone asked if we could really imagine Adam up around six in the morning. Heh.

Speaking of the blog, I was looking through it a few days ago and the person who is so obviously a Rent fan needs to just. stop. commenting. She's not Adam.

Aww, that sucks. I haven't read any of the comments, but I think it's rude to post about Adam in Cybele's blog. If Cybele had made an Adam fan blog, that would be a different story, and also weird.

Yeah, exactly, Sarah. I'm sure the person isn't trying to be malicious and she's not exactly coming out saying "I <3 ADAM!" but it's like, let the woman have her own life as well.
