I don't know what to type. It's just been one of those...totally wow/unexpected/awesome/weird/confusing/rare nights. And almost everyone is sleeping...
Too...just...all the above to share everything, but I will share cool tidbits from the concert. I actually didn't give a real review this time b/c Margo beat me to it and he's so great I, w/ all the details i like to keep, had nothing to add!
But man the last row was HIGH. I spent most of the concert sitting on the my seat folded up, stood sometimes too, but for that I saw and to see such an amazing night for $20...not complaining. So yeah, for review of the night, read Margo's. Though it was really funny how we all tried to work together to figure out who everyone was, the program just had a list of all the people that were there, not who was singing what. For a while we thought Mark Kudish was Kevin Kline...
Umm so after the show funny story about how somehow I totally lost my friend...so finally I gave up and figured I'd see her at the stage door once I figured out where it was. I had to get directions twice but it was still...confusing. I don't know what happened but I thought w/ the directions they gave me, it was an inside door it said "stage door" but there was no one there. Weird, I thought. Then a guy came out said who am I waiting for and I just said something like stage door...so then he said here come in, and maybe he thought I was waiting for someone I was friends w/? Anyway so I walk in and I was just like umm...okay...oh look there's the stage...wow...this is cool. I was soo confused..
Ooh right before I went in, Daphne Ruben Vega came out and I was like oh Daphne you were great, and she was soo amazingly sweet she was like aww thanks what's your name and pretty big personalized my program and wrote much love...I found out later she didn't get the lighting she was supposed to so she didn't get a large applause from the audience as she should have, b/c it took them a while to figure out who she was. So then I realized it prob meant a lot to her that I you know stopped her, so that made me feel good But soo sweet.
Okay so back to being backstage all confused. I'm still walking around, not quite sure where I'm supposed to "wait" exactly. Somewhere along the way I semi-bump into Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Lea DeLaria. It's soo funny how Jesse knows me b/c he thinks it's Spelling Bee but I only talked to him once after Spelling Bee, really it's the kitchen sink, secret garden concert, elvis costello concert, etc he just keeps seeing me at all those. Usually he just kinda nods or whatever but he was so sweet(yeah I like that phrase) tonight and was just like hey! how are you, I was still confused so I was like oh here sign, he said I don't really want him to sign, it was cute. Then he said to Lea yeah Amanda here is a big Spelling Bee fan, I just laughed, I mean I do like the show. But then I was like wait, how do you know my name? Oh...Daphne wrote it on the program. Makes sense But then the funniest/embarassing moment was the fact that I think Lea's much bigger than Jesse? and I knew him and not her...they thought that was amusing. Oops. I was a little embarassed.
Oh, and then a security lady asks me who I'm here to see and I explain they told me to go in and eww she pissed me off, she walked me all the way around to the exit to "escort" me out. Finally found my friend at the actual stage door...missed a lot of ppl actually...I saw a lot of them pass me by but I was still so confused so I just kinda smiled at them as they passed...but yeah most of the famous ppl apparently rushed through, Ben Stiller signed a couple, took a couple pics, my friend got one w/ him, Idina signed a couple, Betty Buckley signed a lot but we just missed her, and umm yeah that's about it for the post.
Amazing amazing concert.
Um...what was the concert for?

She's beautiful! *is jealous*
Sooo...Today didn't feel like a school day, since I had to deal with nothing but substitutes. On the bright side, I had a lot of time for practice. Whee! I also might get to start Independent study-Music this week. I would be able to learn all the string instruments. I also plan on getting into classical music. Bway showtunes are awesome, but I need some variation.
Don't hate me, I still love my theater hussies.
So many ladies in this thread now...and still the only guy to enjoy them all. Hahahaha
lol. Well, if Dre hadn't gotten that sex change...
just kidding, don't murder me Dre.
OMG, Traci is so unbelievably excited right now! So excited she's writing in the third person. Traci just found out that Anthony Rapp is going to be doing at book signing on February 13th at Syracuse University. That’s only like 2 hours from where Traci lives! And best of all Traci is going! OMG.
Mary is insanely jealous of Traci and hates being 13 and living in the middle of nowhere.

Is it safe to say that SirLiir (Ryan?) is the official pimp in this thread?

Ah, my mistake. I will edit my post eventually...like now.
Oops. See what happens when I try to be a tad brief? (Though I did figure you'd know...if not keeping up w/ the main board more, you guys gotta at least keep up w/ the BWW news ticker, that's where I get all these bits of info on concerts and such)
It was called the Public Sings, it was held at City Center, and was in celebration of 50 years of the Public Theatre...among shows to run there that were celebrated last night were Hair, A Chorus Line, Caroline or Change, Bring in 'da noise..., SWIWS, Threepenny Opera, and Pirates of Penzance.
It seems like more Barney drama has been unleashed...
(and since I'm too lazy to explain, here's a handy dandy copied and pasted AIM convo.)
juicyfruit1103 = me
Dre2387 = Dre (never would've guessed, right?0
Without futher ado:
omg Mary.
and thanks for changing that hyper.
geez, I'm a girl, i did not have a sex change, and I never had an affair with Barney. Mary just made that up so that she could cover up the real truth: that she always wanted an affair with him (her).
