I"ve been hoping for a Pascal/Butz/Esparza trio of Matchmaker, Matchmaker for years. Though I gott a say it would be fun to hear him sing Lets Hear it for the Boy, or I Don't Do Sadness.

I have iTunes on shuffle, and "Being Intense" just came up. I haven't heard this in ages, and I had forgotten how funny it was. I am appreciating the genius all over again.
It was my message. I was going to suggest that Raúl do "Last Midnight" from Into the Woods. After all, we already know he can pull off a good Witch! Just look at his performance of "Defying Gravity" that's on Youtube!!
I just saw Raul's Time Warp performance at Broadway on Broadway. Holy freaking crap. I have NEVER heard him sing like that. The only thing that I think comes close to it was that time he sang "God Give Me Strength". But not even then! Not only that, but I don't think I've ever seen him perform with such abandon, excitement, or energy. Hair, maybe? Oh, and another thing...he looks so CUBAN!!! I LOVE it! SO freaking HOOOOOOOT!

Law and Order, awesome. Raul Esparza is a master of postponing but never eluding the theater stereotypes.
(I'm probably seeing Rent tonight. So. I'm going to miss Raul tonight. Last time I talked to Cary Shields I at least had Raul there to exchange grounding "this guy is crazy, right?" glances with.) Updated On: 2/19/09 at 06:19 AM
