Wow not playing at all? That's a shocker! We can send you a copy!
I just added it to the top of my netflix cue.
Because God only knows I don't have enough movies on my friggin cue.
DD, Thanks for the pic of the theatre. I'd never seen it before. I only know they have EXCELLENT productions!
Where did Best go?
Tink, those are great seats. Sunday night should be fine!
Awesome!!! I'm so happy! I'll calm down soon. So far I'm seeing a play in Dec, Jan, Feb, March, so I have to start booking fro April! yeah!
L, you should see WHITE CHRISTMAS. It's a great "back stage" musical.
Well, between you and me, the local productions are hit and miss. I've seen some wonderful stuff ("Company" was brilliant), and yet they managed to make "A Funny Thing... Forum" not funny.
The cool thing is that there's usually at least an acquaintance in every show.
Where can I see said White Christmas?
Tink, that is awesome to me that you have 1 show booked for every month!
Well, at least you have a theatre that tries and takes chances!
Besides, you can't like EVERYTHING, can you? (I know I can't!!!)
L - They are doing White Christmas at the PaperMill Playhouse in south jersey.
Or you could visit Grandma and see it at the 5th.
Or rent the dvd of the movie.
MT, I want to know what YOU think of the PMP's WHITE CHRISTMAS, too!
Miss P - Unfortunately, I'm not going to make it to see WC. My aunt is going so I'll be sure to post her review!
I hope we get tix to Drowsy for when we're there. My friend is getting the tickets, but hasn't gotten them yet. Waiting to coordinate with other friends that are going to be there.
Can't figure out what else to see. Hoping to catch ACL.
I have been flying too much lately, I can't get on a plane for awhile or I will go crazy!
And I really try to avoid Jersey too!
ACL isn't on my list of shows to see soon, but Drowsy is. A friend just saw it and is RAVING about. He isn't really into Broadway but he couldn't stop talking about it.
HAHA I would avoid Jersey too if I didn't live here! I can't wait to be on a plane to FL in March!
Go see GREY GARDENS, DD! I already have tickets to see it (and DROWSY) again.
MT, so sorry you can't see the PMP show. I like that theatre...but their productions are not ALWAYS great either!
I've heard mixed things about ACL, but as a devout ACL fan, I must see this production.
Miss P is pretty much singlehandedly responsible for me wanting to see Drowsy.
I saw my first play there! Peter Pan 10 - 12 years ago! My grandparents had season tickets. But I do agree, I have heard some awful reviews for a few of their productions.
Where, tink?
PaperMill Playhouse
I found the revival of ACL disappointing, but I'm also one of those OLD people who saw the original and will have it indelibly imprinted on my memory.
So, what about GREY GARDENS??? I cannot wait to see that again!!!
Sorry, Miss Penny (and all)!
I had to dive into an edit bay at work and give notes. Work SO interrupts my BWWing.
I didn't know about Donald O'Connor being Choice #2 for White Christmas!
And I agree that Danny Kaye is the bee's knees! The Court Jester is one of the funniest movies ever made, and features two of Sondheim's Tony-winning leading ladies (Desiree Armfeldt and Mrs. Lovett) as the female prinicpals. And they both look GORGEOUS in the film.
I don't have time (or budget) to catch many shows this time, Ms. P. I'm being invited to Drowsy, so can prolly only swing one more show.
