Thanks so much, guys!
Diva: I promise I will. We don't start rehearsal til February, but I will remember.
MissP: Thanks! It's something I was stressing about a bit, 'cause I was so vocally tired, and I had to reschedule a bunch of caroling gigs keep go to the audition and 2 subsequent callbacks, so I am just super excited I booked it!!

OOOOH! You guys should come out to LA! How awesome would that be?
Now, I'll know more when we start rehearsals, but my character (The Bad Fairy) will actually be played by an ASL actress, and I will be providing her voice (both the speaking and singing). So, I don't believe I'll even be on stage at that point. However, I was told they'll probably be using me in various small ensemble roles as well, so I will be on stage sometime.
The show runs through May 13th with a probable extension through May 20th. (Drat! Liotte, you'll be out here a week too late!)
Do you ever do anything that isn't a Disney character?
btw, I'll have to come and see the show.
Oh, that sucks Erika! I will need a private performance then! :)

It's not a Disney character. It's a Grimm's Fairytales character. (Hence, the name "Bad Fairy," not "Maleficent." :-P) Anyway, this musical is so completely different (the Bad Fairy is also the Director of the Sleep Disorder Clinic where Beauty finds herself after a millenium asleep), that I don't think there's much danger of confusion with the Disney version...
But I get your point. (Hey, at least when you're typecast, that implies you're getting cast, right? hehehe)
You DO know that Disney ripped off, er, borrowed all of those stories, right?
I just had a little laugh at the similarities.

Diva: Exactly. So, they're not really Disney characters at all - especially when you're going back to the source material. :-P
And I totally get your point - (Evil Queen, Snow Queen, Bad Fairy...I certainly seem to have found my niche) - I was just teasing you back.
You'll have to let me know if/when you come see the show!
Liotte: OK, then...we'll figure something out. (I'm guessing it'll involve me getting drunk and singing the song loudly in a bar on my next trip to NY...)
