Not to mention the Lincoln conspiracy was supposed to be even more devastating, taking out Secretary of State William Seward and VP Andrew Johnson. Seward was stabbed and Johnson's would-be assassin got drunk and abandoned the plot.
All in all, they were remarkably close to causing a crisis of continuity in the government.
I actually did a report on this a couple of years ago and there are some compelling reasons why so many people believe there is more to the story,
1) the 2 conflicting autopsies
2) the secret service detail changed
3) the parade route was changed
4) the magic bullet theory
5) Oswalds military and CIA Backgroud
6) Oswalds defecting to Russia
7) Oswalds links to Cuba Oswalds Assassination
9) Rubys "cleaning" of Oswald
10)Kennedy Familys Mob Ties
11) RFKs Mob prosecution
12) CIA targeting of Castro
13) Mobs Casinos lost to Castro
14) Discrepensies between the DPD and FBI
15) FBIs gathering and destoying of evidence
16) JFKs Brain "stolen"
Laertes, y'all.

Steven Sondheim. He seemed to know an awful lot about what Lee Harvey Oswald was thinking on the day.

I slept with Jack Kennedy. Talk about your Bay of Pigs.
For the record, I actually don't give a sh!t what Alec Baldwin thinks, and I didn't mean to import any significance onto his comments...they just got me wondering is all, what with the upcoming 50th anniversary. Thanks for your thoughts. There's bound to be more about it in the coming weeks.
i talked to my Dad who was in Ukraine at the time about this for my report, he said at the time, USSR thought it was an American plot to give the USA an excuse to attack USSR. I told him i thought that was ridiculous, he swears that was the thought and all USSR defense units were put on Super High Alert. He doesnt believe it anymore

I will listen to Alec Baldwin say anything.
Like, "Let's go to Morocco, Namo."
Has anyone else seen those yummy pictures of Jack Noseworthy as Bobby Kennedy?
But is his nose worthy?
So you guys are all convinced he's really dead?
Interesting to me what a hold he has on America. Both parties at election time like to claim they are Camelot 2.0

The survey found that 84 percent of Americans 54 and older have a "clear and vivid memory" of Kennedy's assassination, and 12 percent have a "vague memory." This compares with 95 percent of adults who have a clear and vivid memory of the 9/11 terrorist attacks from 2001, which occurred much more recently."
Asked to choose the one or two best presidents who served between 1950 and 2000, 46 percent of Americans said Bill Clinton, 46 percent said Ronald Reagan, and 41 percent said Kennedy. No other president came close.
Given a list of presidents and asked which one they would most want to "bring back" to be the next president, 24 percent said Ronald Reagan, 21 percent said Bill Clinton, 13 percent said Kennedy, 9 percent said Abraham Lincoln, 6 percent said Franklin Roosevelt, and 5 percent said Barack Obama.
There were negative assessments of some Kennedy decisions and some of his behavior, notably his increasing U.S. involvement in Vietnam and his adultery, but, overall, Americans have a very positive picture of him.
The survey found that 44 percent of Americans strongly agreed that Oswald may not have acted alone, and 31 percent somewhat agreed, because "there are still too many questions surrounding Kennedy's assassination."

One of my favorites jokes from Neil Gaiman's American Gods is: 'How do you know the CIA wasn't involved in the Kennedy assassination? Well, he's dead, isn't he?'
I read awhile ago that it was strange that LBJ ordered the limo JFK rode in washed immediately instead of being checked for evidence first.
There are many theories and we will probably never have an answer.
Why would they check the limo for evidence of the killer anyway? The killer wasn't in the limo. Kennedy's blood stains were not going to give the killer away.
There are many theories and we will probably never have an answer.
Or perhaps we actually do.
If you believe Red Dwarf the gunman on the grassy knoll was JFK

Well, it's obviously whoever was behind faking the planes crashing into the Twin Towers.
