>>Carol Channing would be fabulous as Mrs. Totendale in The Drowsy Chaperone, but she'd never do it >>
What about Angela Lansbury?
I once heard someone describe her (Ruthie Henshall) singing as sounding as though she's trying to swallow a whole meatball slightly larger than her windpipe. (The same person compared Michael Ball's singing to sounding as though he's sitting on a washing machine on spin cycle and Colm Wilkinson's to a man with a paralyzed lip trying to eat cottage cheese.) --- Schmerg_The_Impaler
Elizabeth Ashley would be a great Joanne in Company, but she'd never do it. Patti LuPone would be a great Emma Goldman in Ragtime, but she'd never do it.
This is kind of a long shot/odd thought, but it might be fun to see NLB as Tommy DiVito in Jersey Boys. lol it would probably never happen, though, and I'm not sure if he'd do it or not.

why do you hold such distaste for Nick? Have you ever seen him in anything or you just hate that people give his body attention? Do you know what he is capable of?
Norbert Leo Butz should play Dan in N2N on Broadway, but probably won't.
If Nick Adams can do a German accent, he'd be perfect for a mendes style Emcee. PiraguaGuy2, I'm curious; are you very familiar with Cabaret? (If you don't know every word, you're missing out.... best show of all time IMO) Nick Adams has the femininity, the voice, the sexuality, the acting chops (really, the Emcee doesn't show a wide range of emotions; he's difficult in other ways), the stage presence, and the look. It's perfect for him.

Linda Eder would be good as Elphaba but would never do it.
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
Don't eat me. Daphne Rubin-Vega could be a good Diana in N2N, but would never do it.

I've thought Jack Black for DRS since the day after the 2005 Tony Awards and I remember first posting that on some message board then when I came here, I saw other people agreed with me.
