Lets hope that the Pantages does not bring Wicked back again
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

The first national tour is closing at the pantages right now. The second national tour is booked to 2017 already. If ever, we might be getting Wicked back like in 6 years like when The Lion King closed its 1st national tour and took that long to come back.

Still anxiously awaiting Atlanta's announcement--they haven't even said when they would be posting it. Fingers are crossed for Cabaret, Matilda, and the alleged Hedwig tour that is happening. I doubt BOM will come back to us, since we had it last spring and we have Wicked next month.

Pantages Theatre (Los Angeles) 2015-2016 Season:
Annie (Oct.13-Nov.1)
If/Then (Dec.8-Jan.3)
Bullets Over Broadway (Jan.5-24)
Dirty Dancing (Feb.2-21)
The Illusionsist (Feb.23-Mar.13)
42nd Street (May31-Jun.19)
Beautiful:The Carole King Musical (Jun.22-July17)
Cabaret (July19-Aug.7)
I don't like this season at all. I bet the Ahmanson Theatre (Downtown) will be getting a great season (ABOUT TIME).

anyone have info on the 42nd Street tour??
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

So glad to see Bullets is touring!

I hate the new season. I don't want to pay for non-equity tours of Annie, 42nd Street, Dirty Dancing...and a MAGIC SHOW.
I might switch to the Ahmanson because they'll be getting A Gentleman's Guide (Tony best musical), Hedwig (Tony best revival), and Ragtime. All those are for sures.

^ for what it's worth, Dirty Dancing is actually on a tiered AEA Production Contract, and the union status of 42nd Street is yet to be determined.

I'm excited to see Beautiful, 42nd Street (depending on the quality), and possibly If/Then, but that's it.
The Ahmanson is already getting The Sound of Music and possibly Little Dancer, and I wouldn't be surprised to see The Bridges of Madison County, Hedwig, Ragtime, or possibly Gentleman's Guide there.

I saw The Illusionists this past weekend in Indianapolis and was pleasantly surprised. I was pretty skeptical going into the show but it was very enjoyable. It moved very quickly and the lighting design was pretty neat. It felt like a magic rock concert. I wouldn't see it again but it was certainly an enjoyable 2 hours.

I hate saying this, but this is one of the worst seasons the pantages has had in a long time. Most of these shows it seems like were flops on broadway. I mean, if If/then doesn't have Idina, I don't know who would honestly want to go see it. Bullets: Flop, If/then: Still a flop, and then a bunch of non equity stuff.
The only headlining shows are beautiful and Cabaret. I just guess that Ahamanson one out for once.
What do you think they will get.

The 5th Ave Theatre is releasing their season sometime on the weekend and the Paramount isn't releasing their season till Feb 17th. Here's hoping they have a better season than Vancouver does. I'd love Seattle to get Beautiful, Matilda, and Newsies but we will have to wait and see...

Flashdance is going back out? That's surprising. They're just going to tour that thing until it makes some money I guess.

Matilda will be the season opener for the 5th avenue theatre. I Gentleman's guide will be in the line up to.

The only reason I don't say Matilda "is going on tour" for the new season is because the Ahmanson is getting it THIS season in May. I'm very curious to see who plays Miss Trunchbull and Mrs. Wormwood.

Definite as in you have sources, or as in "since they're not going to the Pantages, they're going to Ahmason"? Because I'm not sure if GGLAM is going out this season or next. Plus, some might skip LA and just go to the Segerstrom!

Gentleman's Guide starts it's tour in Chicago this September. So yes, it is going out next touring season.

The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle announced their season last night, including the tours of both Matilda and A Gentlemen's Guide to Love and Murder. I was happily surprised to hear that they are doing a Seattle based production of The Sound of Music as well as five other local shows.
