There is a tour of The Sound of Music that NETworks is sending out, directed by Jack O'Brien. The production that is going to be at the 5th Avenue is an independently produced production directed by David Bennett, not the NETworks tour.
curious about the Hedwig tour and who'll be starring in it.

I was a little disappointed to see neither Cabaret nor Hedwig on this list. I'm hoping that they might come around the next season.
^ I'd kill for a season like that. Louisville, at most, gets 6 shows a season.
Interesting to see the The Wizard of Oz is going back out again...
Is Oz an independent production or are they doing another tour? The website states that "THE TOUR HAS NOW FINISHED" so I'm confused/interested. If it is a second tour, I wonder what the casting gimmick is gonna be.
According to Troika's website, THE WIZARD OF OZ national tour will launch this fall. It'll more than likely be Non-Equity. http://www.troika.com

A little bummed no Matilda or Cabaret, but definitely a fuller season than we've had. A little surprised that we are getting BOM again-- just had that last spring.
Leezy, I suspect that BOM keeps repeating because it's so difficult to get tix that many folks are shut out. When it played at the Kennedy Center in DC a few years ago, it sold out in a few hours, during the purchase period for members -- the general public never had a chance.

The Wizard of Oz tour is re-launching with AEA performers this time, rather than Canadian Equity actors. The physical production will be exactly the same.

Are Gypsy and The Little Mermaid tours, or are they being produced there?
I'm ridiculously pleased with Minneapolis! I'd say it's the best season we've gotten in a long time. Excited to see the re-imagined/reworked Little Mermaid production.
