I forgot about the Hedwig tour! They haven't officially announced when though, but that season seems likely.
There is a history of shows announcing national tours during Tony season that never end up materializing.
Didn't Aladdin announce that their tour was launching in the fall of 2016 a long while ago?

"Didn't Aladdin announce that their tour was launching in the fall of 2016 a long while ago?"
Nothing has been announced officially. They have announced international productions though.
yes, Aladdin will head to the West End first and then afterwards a US tour is planned.
Broadway Booking Office (BBONYC.com) is showing Gigi and Into the Woods (Fiasco). Have they announced?

Aladdin is supposed to go out next season, as well as Les Mis (MTI has stopped licensing the full version of the show in preparation for the upcoming national tour).
How would a Fun Home tour work? Would they revert back to the Off Broadway stateing, seeing that most (if not all) touring houses are not in the round? Or would the completely restage AGAIN for a tour?
Anyone else get the email blast about this (previously mentioned, but I hadn't seen the site)? http://thesoundofmusicontour.com/

Disney is launching Aladdin in Tokyo and Hamburg this year and then in London early next year. I assume they'll come out with a way to make the show tourable like they did with previous shows.

Updated! I kept Aladdin under "Announced but not 100% confirmed" since there has not been an official announcement (though it seems to be a pretty open secret)

I don't recall an eblast but I know of two people who were cast in it (Liesel and Rolfe).

It can be done. The most recent revival of GODSPELL was done in the round, and toured to proscenium stages.
It was just announced that Curious Incident is going to tour!

Regarding the ON THE TOWN tour:
The press release stated:
"The tour will coincide with the nationwide celebrations of Leonard Bernstein’s 100th Birthday."
Leonard Bernstein was born on August 25, 1918, so his centennial is three years from this upcoming summer.
^ Either some one made a mistake, or it won't tour until then.
Also Into the Woods is now official.
So the confirmed tours are:
On the Town
An American in Paris
Finding Neverland
Curious Incident
Into the Woods
The King and I
not too shabby!
when was the last time a play toured?? War Horse in 2011??
Peter and starcatcher toured.
Peter and starcatcher toured.
