^ ^ ^ It’ll be interesting to see if any of this (Hamilton “first access) is brought up or confirmed tomorrow night. Less than 24-hours to go and it’ll all be over. Wooohooo! Eager to see what this is about...“As you approach the theater starting around 6:30pm, look up to the Benedum marquee for a special surprise!”

That's definitely intriguing! Have fun and report back for us!

I only found out because I talked to some folks aware of “performance” about to occur the marquee.
...and they’ve passed out chocolate candy bars to everyone entering the theater with purple wrapping and the label says “Step Inside a World of Pure Imagination”, but we already knew that show was coming. :) Eveyone is getting a free drink coupon too.

So Les Miz is extending the tour beyond October? I hope this means that they come back to a few cities that they already stopped at this year. I am dying to see it another time.
I am too, and by the response of the audience, so was everyone else! LOTS and lots of applause at every reveal, and some cheers! The event host, a local TV news personality I didn’t recognize (since I’m not from Pittsburgh), made an announcement prior to the show that this was the most attended Broadway Across America Season Announcement ever.
The announcement event was a LOT of fun, and there were performance songs from “Anastasia”, “Fiddler of the Roof”, and “Come From Away” by one of the Original (?) Broadway Cast, with a very special surprise appearance and sit down interview by Pilot Beverly Bass, whose real life story is immortalized in the musical.
I’m surprised that the Trust brought back “The Book Of Mormon” after it was just here in Feb. 2017. And the “Cirque Eloize Hotel” is being billed as “Part of the Pittsburgh International Festival of Firsts”.
Overall, the main season is very impressive and I’m very pleased!

If you're going to do a season extra I suggest seeing Cirque Eloise and their new show Hotel.
I saw them for the first time this year at the Irvine Barclay Theatre when they presented Saloon, a musical acrobatic adventure set in the Old West. It was fantastic with a small troupe of 12 actors singing, dancing, playing musical instruments and performing acrobatic feats. Think Cirque du Soleil on a small scale but better in my opinion. Hoping that they'll return next season and do an encore with their new show.

In Boston, season subscribers did get first access to buy additional Hamilton tickets. We were allowed to buy up to two more tickets in addition to our season subscription seats before ticket sales opened to the general public.
DC and Chicago are always the last to announce. Like a month after everyone else. Makes no sense.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Broadway in Detroit is finally announcing this week:
From their instagram: "Renewal brochures are finally here! We’ll be announcing our season later this week. We know it’s been a long wait - subscribers - watch for your renewal emails coming soon!"

That's....disappointing. No DEH. No Hello Dolly. No CFA. No Miss Saigon. Thinking that they will add on a show in October or November because there is an 8 week gap between Something Rotten and Aladdin, and a large gap in March/April between The Lightning Thief and Waitress.
I guess I will try to see Wicked in August because other than Waitress or possibly Anastasia, I'm not really interested in the shows (have already seen Hamilton x 2).

Is this the first we have heard about a potential new Non-Eq tour of Legally Blonde in 2019? Or is this a local production being linked to the Broadway series?
Thousand Oaks, CA is also getting the Legally Blonde tour (along with Book of Mormon?!?). Lots of info on the website: http://blondeontour.com/
"I never had theatre producers run after me. Some people want to make more Broadway shows out of movies. But Elliot and I aren't going to do Batman: The Musical." - Julie Taymor 1999
This is the non-equity Legally Blonde tour that Big League is running in various markets in Asia this year. It relaunches in the US in January of 2019, presumably playing mostly the smaller non-equity markets, as this is the size market Big League focuses on.
