The masses? This is a message board for Broadway discussion and gossip.
Also, with this number of people out at once – and growing – it is logical to assume that it is likely COVID. In these situations, the track record of assuming people have COVID until proven otherwise has shown to be *far* more accurate than the opposite. This was during a confirmed COVID outbreak, and Robyn seems to be the only one suspected of being ill with COVID to have evaded it.
And again, this is a fan message board, not the New York Times.

Robyn posted an IG story on Wednesday saying she would be missing some shows this week and not feeling well. With all the others out in the show, it was simply a matter of putting two and two together. And then she returned on Friday. Yes, she never said she was out with COVID, but since she's always posting on her IG and then was quiet on Thurs and Fri, it was just an assumption. Sorry about that. Today's matinee still has a lot of people out as Alex Hairston left for her vacation today. They are barely getting through this week.

There is misinformation in your post -- and you should keep your yap shut about any personal medical details that have not been made public.

A lot of actors are very open on their social media pages. Maybe some people shouldn't put their entire life out there for everyone to see. That's all I'm going off of.

Misinformation is misinformation. And it was apologized for, which is good.
I should also point out that ACL2006 responded to the correction (which, admittedly, was a tad snarky on my part) with more grace than you did, despite it not having anything to do with you.

The vast majority of posts on these boards are purely speculative/contain unconfirmed information. So the difference here is that this info is... about a medical topic? Which is not forbidden content on these boards?
I'm sorry, I don't see why this is grounds for post removal while – for example – hypothesizing the meaning behind an actor's cryptic post (Zachary Noah Piser) about why they are not appearing in a show is not.

Tone policing on this board only serves to distract from the actual points being made. I also don't understand why my last post lacks grace. I made a measured response to the points you raised.

I hope she didn't perform last night because her name wasn't on the u/s list. Becky was on as Jaye and Paige Faure was on as Rose Diamond. Becky covered Robyn for both shows on Thursday.

If she wasn't on the understudy list, then good odds are she performed.
Robyn did perform last night, sick, but did test negative prior to the show.

I'm just asking; I'm genuinely not trying to be snarky. But do you have people who you ask about this kind of stuff (covid-related) on Broadway on a regular basis? Because whenever there's a discussion about covid on Broadway, you're usually a very prominent part of it. Not all of the information you have is correct (though a fair amount of it is), but nevertheless, you seem to always have at the very least a curious ear. So I'm just wondering if you have people you ask about covid stuff on Broadway.
Again, not trying to be snarky, or even criticize at all really. Though I don't know if it's necessarily any of our business.

The show's assistant director, Austin Regan, is making his debut and going on as Tommy O'Rourke/Fred Weintraub for the matinee. Robert Pendilla is on as Bert Burns, Paige Faure is still on as Jaye. Ninako is covering two tracks and Makia is covering two female tracks. Preston Perez was called in to cover a male track.

You appear to have an unhealthy obsession with this subject matter.

Just wanted to say I appreciate these in-depth updates. It’s interesting to see how a show survives in a tough situation like this. These understudies deserve a lot of praise, and it’s only right that they’re mentioned by name!

How so? This is unique situation and they've barely been able to keep the show going this week. My friend that works at the theater messages me what's been going on this week.

I just love how "we" all complain about common decency/behavior of audiences today - but then fail to be civil to each other on this board.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Chiming in to say I also appreciate these types of updates! It’s hugely informative to understand what Broadway shows are doing to keep open when things like this happen.

I also appreciate your updates and positivity about this show. I actually enjoy this show so want to see it succeed. Also, I am friends with someone who has a good connection and what you have been saying all along about Fall grosses tracks with what I was told back in July.

Thank you for this! Considering the assistant director had to step into the show tonight or cancel proves how serious the situation was this week at ABN. And they had nearly soldout houses this week outside of the Tues & Thurs evening shows.
I'm curious about Tuesday's show. Nick will still be out, so does Will come in or does Max finally get to go on(Max was back today).

I know I've challenged you a couple of times on this thread, but you've always responded with maturity and civility, and I appreciate that so much. And if I have ever unintentionally done the opposite with you, I offer my apologies.
