Went last night, and to my suprise Vincent was out, even though he is leaving in 4 days. Andrew Call was on, and was very interesting in the role, as he played the role less creepy, and more ... flamboyant? Not sure if that's the word I'm looking for.

I liked de Waal a lot, until she cracked really badly toward the end of Jesus of Suburbia, and she continued to crack the rest of the show. I ended up not liking her.

Andrew is scheduled to be on for St. Jimmy, January 11th to the 16th, which was kinda a given.

Aspen did go on for Extraordinary Girl back in October, I believe, and Declan went on for Will in November when both Gallagher and Esper were sick (Van was on for Johnny). Ben went on for Tunny during the later half of Stark's vacation...

So pretty much the only main understudy who hasn't gone on in Broadway has been Chase for Johnny. And technically, Chase for St. Jimmy but ya know.

Having seen Mary, Libby, Leslie, and Jeanna on for Heather... My favorite is Mary but Jeanna was good. Yes, she has some trouble with the "I'm not ashamed..." line in JOS, but I thought she was fine for the rest of the show.

Esper said that he'll try to overlap performing Idiot and rehearsing iHo as much as he can so he's not leaving for a little bit.

De Waal was really good with Esper. I mean, their chemistry isn't as good as his and Faber's, but give them a few weeks. Vincent was out during his last week??? I knew something was wrong Sunday night.

Ben went on for Tunny during the later half of Stark's vacation...

Just a minor correction, Ben went on the Saturday before Stark's vacation and then he went on the Sunday of Stark's vacation. Just a tiny little thing.

I haven't been to the show since December 11th when Libby was on for Extraordinary Girl. I hope to catch Jeanna soon, though, and I'm already planning on seeing Andrew Call as St. Jimmy in January.

Has anyone heard for sure if Billie Joe is doing the matinee this Saturday, 1/1? It doesn't say anything on the official Billie Joe performances calendar to imply he wouldn't be, but Telecharge doesn't have the little "at this performance the role of St. Jimmy will be played by Billie Joe Armstrong" message when you search for that date.

Taking 3 friends who have never seen it to the show tomorrow night. So excited!

Just some thoughts-

Wouldn't you think Theo Stockman is more fit for St. Jimmy than Chase Peacock? I wish he covered the role!

Also, who is joining along with Mikey Winslow?

I have always thought Theo would be great as St. Jimmy, but I think the role probably isn't in his vocal range.

Apparently, Theo was offered but declined because it wasn't in his vocal range. While it was a strange thought at first, I think Chase as St. Jimmy would be pretty interesting. How he does his track now makes me believe he would play the character closer to Billie's St. Jimmy than Tony's. And I think his voice can handle it.

Mikey is on for Andrew, who is being swung out today. Next week Gerard and Stark are on vacation- Van Hughes will be Tunny from 1/11-1/16 while Andrew is St. Jimmy and Omar and Mikey will be on for Gerard and Andrew.

So jealous of anyone seeing Aspen today!

I don't know if they're going to have a 3rd male swing- it's been just Omar since Josh Kobak left, so even having 2 is an improvement. The girl's name is Jennifer, but I don't think she's starting until Corbin apparently leaves to be in Sister Act.

Also hearing that Johnny will be out for the first week in February when Billie Joe is out and Van will fill in as Johnny during that time.
