Guessing it's going to get mixed/positive like Hartford. Wishing them all the best!

I think they are going to need a lot of luck!! I saw it last week and from the cheap set to dreadful staging and decisions like to cut Rasputin and add Gleb? I don't think it will be on at Christmas. Such a shame as the cast were very good!
Really hoping it'll be a Brantley piece for this big production, but I'm unsure, given how many openings there are in this two-week span.

You are really underestimating how popular this show is.
Anyway, hope it gets some great reviews!
I wish them all the best and am looking forward to seeing it next weekend, but I just cant help but think that this whole project is 20 years too late.
Wishing this show the very best of opening nights! Hoping for some good reviews - excited to see what the evening brings!

Matthew Murray is mixed, but leans on the positive here and there.
"For all these smart changes, however, this Anastasia fails to completely escape the influence of its cartoony forebear. "
"The performers all work hard, but except for Mary Beth Peil, who plays the Dowager Countess, their style is hard-sell 2017 Broadway that never quite sits comfortably, let alone elegantly, on the material."
ANASTASIA
For people who have watched it, how much stage time does "Young Anya" get? Also, isn't the audience full of people in their mid-twenties who like the movie?
Literally only at the beginning and the end. The little actress then plays Alexi for two scenes and a child in the train scenes. And when I saw it, there were plenty old adults too.
Matt Windman gives it a 3 out of 4...

I love Christy but I was hoping Kelli Barrett would get to do this. Didn't she do some of the readings?

Opening night is a bit late to voice casting complaints...

Whoo-ee, that EW review is brutal and they still gave it a B-? Way worse than Charlie, which they gave a lower grade.

I must say -- that blue gown in the promo photograph takes my breathe away.
Kudos to the costume designer AND the actress wearing it.
The Wrap is negative...

I read that as a pan. The Trump references were just ridiculous.
Yeah, I have no idea what he's trying to do with the Trump references, and the whole thing reads pretty negative. The scenic design gets, like, one line of praise at the end.
