Could Scandalous be released independently? On the video posted a few days ago, Carolee was holding up the CD that someone (never said who) had handed to her.

It remains to be seen if the voters can overlook her accent. She hasn't won the medallion yet. (To clarify, the voters do NOT choose who gets nominated, there is a separate committee for that, made up of a much smaller pool of people)

NO, everybody here does NOT want the cast album for free. I believe the artists that create the cd deserve to be paid for their work. Just like I expect to be paid for the work I do.

I would guess that the person on the street was a either a bootlegger or a shyster (sp) and I wouldn't take either. At the end of the day you only have your integrity. Go ahead and kid yourself that just because others "do it" that it makes it ok. Wrong is wrong.
And it makes no difference whatsoever what I do for a living. I could be a hooker, or I could be the president of any organization -- I deserve to be paid for my work. Just like the musicians and technicians. They make money based on how many cds are sold.
