BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is still making money
The decision to close it is still a mystery.
The rumours of TARZAN's demise are a plenty.
THE PIRATE QUEEN and LEGALLY BLONDE will be around for quite awhile.

The reason Beauty is closing is that they were going to close Tarzan but neither Beauty or Mermaid would fit in tarzan's theatre though I don't think it would be hard to close Tarzan, move a show like legally Blonde which doesn't need a lot a space on stage and then move Beauty to Blonde's theatre and let Mermaid have Beauty's theatre....I wish Beauty wasn't closing though
move Beauty BACK to the Palace?
oh dear. what a mess.

Why do people talk about how stupid the lyrics to Legally Blonde are? They are writing stupid characters, so the lyrics are purposefully stupid. Unlike Wicked, Legally Blonde actually makes sense having a pop score so shouldn't we be at LEAST a little happy that the lyrics and music are appropriate IF still annoying enough to some people to make them stay away?
I think i would bet my life that a lot of the major new york papers are gonna give good reviews to LB.
Dont judge it just coz its a fun camp musical(so was hairspray)
Company will probably run at least a year, maybe more if it does well at the Tonys. If Legally Blonde can get reviews here like it did in San Francisco, then it's set. The Wicked fangirls love it already. But Pirate Queen is first to go. The reviews will sink it fast.
Only time will tell what happens to these musicals.

Company needs a couple Tony wins because, even though I love it, tourists are not dying to see it. But word of mouth (not from broadway.com) is helping. Same with GG. When Christine leaves, the show might not be as good as it was.
