Since I see no existing thread about this I decided to open one myself early! I am eager to see everyone’s rush reports for AIA, which starts previews this Friday, since I plan to rush myself in the future.
It would be nice to include which day of the week it was, which type of rush you bought (only one part or for both parts), when did you arrive, and how many people are in front of you.
It would be even better if you can also include how many people are in the line at various time periods after you arrive just for additional info!
Thanks to everyone in advance who report their rush experience! I’m so excited for this production to come to Broadway.

This isn't rush, but I had a Broadway Direct lottery question: does anyone know what "Standby" means when you check your Lottery Status on the site? I checked my status for Angels in America, and it says "Standby." Does that mean if there are lottery tickets unclaimed after the hour window, they move to the people on Standby? I've never seen this before.

The box office just opened -- does anybody have any seat location reports in terms of rush? They had a bunch of tickets left when I checked yesterday -- so maybe they'll be giving out better seats than typical rush locations?

Wow, I got an email and they are doing a standby list for the lottery - if tickets are unclaimed, they draw from the pool of folks on standby. At least we know that they're making the effort to get every lottery ticket sold.
I just came here to ask about the standby, that's what I got. But I don't see on their FAQ if they send another email, or we have to keep refreshing. I guess I'll just do the latter, I'm assuming around 11am we'd know?
Tried to rush this morning. The box office said Ticketmaster is lagging hasn’t made rush active on their system or something, they’re unsure how long it will take. They did say rush would be partial view. I also got there at 9:30 and there was like no one there. By 10 there were about 8 of us!

I was just about to post asking if anyone got an update on the standby list, when I got an email saying I won the lottery, so I guess now we know what happens when you are on the standby list.
Anyone else win for tomorrow night's show?

Congrats! I'm still on standby. I guess they're doing it on a rolling basis every hour until they're out of tickets.

Me. I wish they let you pick your seat like some lotteries do. Hopefully won’t be spending 7.5 hours in the furthest back corner.

Awesome, I'm really excited, I haven't seen a straight play in ages. And I agree, I haven't actually won a lottery for a show that lets you pick your seats (well, I did win Kinky Boots but didn't end up buying them, I think they let you choose your seat, y?) so I'm curious where these seats are.
Went around noon to check if rush was now available...and the were! Got 2 front row orchestra seats! :)

Sooooo..... my friend just went there and got a rush ticket for tonight? I’m shocked there are still tickets haha but it might be because of the system malfunction this morning that wish I were here2 mentioned! They were orchestra Row b tickets, which are quite good!

Okay so just to clarify. If I wanted to do in person rush for just Part 1, they would sell me a single rush ticket? Or would they still make me purchase one for Part 2 as well?

On days that have only 1 part playing they sell rush for that part, but if you go on a day that shows both parts they sell rush for both as a pack, so if you need to see Part 1 you can just go to a day that only shows Part 1 and get a rush ticket! :)

Met some girls in line that said their TDF tickets were row D seats 6 and 8
Met a couple on the ride home who had TDF Mezz Row K. They said it was fine, but they had small binoculars to see the faces up close

Were the row b seats considered full-view or partial-view?
How many rows were in front of them?

I’m just a bit confused on this rush system and hoping someone can clarify. If I want to rush for one of their Sunday performances (where part 1 is one Sunday and part 2 is the following Sunday) would they let me buy a rush ticket for both, or will I have to go back the following Sunday for part 2 rush?
