I love "Lay All Your Love On Me" and Amanda sounds great. I love that fast vibrato.
"Zac is sweet as can be. He's very much just a sweet kid from California who happens to have a face that looks like it was drawn by Michelangelo, (if Michelangelo did anime)." -Adam Shankman.

Ughh I cant get over listen to that little bit of "Winner Takes it All" She sounds so freaking good. and just the pure and genuine emotion in her voice, then her voice continuing under the other stuff, ughh I cant wait to see it.
"I think lying to children is really important, it sets them off on the right track" -Sherie Rene Scott-
This is basically the "First Look" featurette that they're showing at Regal theatres. I think Amanda sounds pretty great and Meryl looks and sounds fantastic of course. I never thought I'd see Meryl Streep dancing to ABBA music on the shore in a film, but that's what makes her so great. I can't wait to see this.

Its ABBA -- that recording studio synthesized sound is part of their 'ABBA sound'. All the songs in the film were produced and given this sound in attempts to recreate their original versions. "The Winner Takes it All" and "Our Last Summer" are about the only songs in the film which are void of that synthesized sound as the original versions weren't recorded that way -- they contained clear vocals.
I feel like Seth Rudetsky when he gestures fast vibrato by waving his hand back and forth.
"Lay A~LL your love on me." <- love that!

I can't WAIT for this movie to come out -- July 18th can't come fast enough!! I could watch Meryl Streep clip her toenails for two hours and I'd be amazed by her! She's THAT good!!! Wonder if she'll do a stint on Bway?? I would hope so! :)
Both Meryl and Amanda sound great! Ahhh I cannot wait for this now!

I loooove the synthesized sound of Amanda's voice, it truly captures the ABBA sound, and you can tell it's done on purpose. Her voice is pretty nifty too. I thought she was great in VERONICA MARS, MEAN GIRLS, and BIG LOVE so I've no doubt she will do a good job. Streep's perfect, period. Oh, and I also thought it was hilarious when they said the story was epic.

I have a couple of friends who work at the Universal Pictures affiliate in Miami, Florida and they invited me to an 'office' screening of MAMMA MIA! two weeks ago. The editing was somewhat rough in spots and the color wasn't properly fixed in some scenes (faces too orange or too pink) so I believe it was the same print that the recent San Diego test screenings showed.
Biggest regret was not taking along a small digital recorder. I would have made audios of the songs at least. Too late now.
Meryl's voice is HUGE. It's no wonder she didn't take Sweeney Todd, this role really is a better fit for her first true musical film. She has such a rocky belt - woman better sang.
Brody, despite the color and editing, was it any good? As good/better than "Hairspray"?
It made HAIRSPRAY look like a Disney Channel TV movie.
The Greek locations and vistas alone are their own characters in the film. Its simply breathtakingly beautiful. It adds to MAMMA MIA! what the Austrian vistas did for THE SOUND OF MUSIC.
