I'm under the understanding that Chris Fitzgerald's (Boq's) last performance is actually NEXT Sunday. He, Joey McIntyre and Idina Menzel will all be exiting after that performance.
So I had no idea today was Fitz' last performance! I noticed that his performance seemed a lot more energized and really "on", more than usual. At the curtain call, Idina tried (desperately) to get the applause down, and started to say something to the affect of "this is a special performance because, and [choking up] Michelle you can jump in anytime..."
So Michelle jumped in, tissue in hand and says that today was Fitzie's (?) last performance (applause, applause) and that he was known "for being so sweet and making everyone laugh, [choking up now] onstage and backstage - [turning to him and "tsking" him] naughty naughty - and most of all, he will be remembered...for his calves!" With that she picked up the hem of his pants and pulling them up to show off the legs. The cast starts cracking up, and Chris turns upstage, pulls up his own pant legs and starts doing calf raises! (Looking good, who knew!)
The cast and the audience starts cracking up and Chris turns back downstage to get hugs and as the curtain lowers, one of the taller cast guys wraps his arms around his waist and lifts him into the air, while the cast keeps crying and laughing.

awwwwwww... i *heart* Chris Fitzgerald. anyone know whats in his future?

I was looking forward to seeing him for one last time as well!
So who'll be playing Boq until Kuhn joins? Walter?

His last show was this afternoon. They gave him a nice little send off, too. It was all very sweet.
"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."
Wait. So Kuhn isn't joining Tuesday? Next week? Hmmmm. Walter seems like hes a good Boq, I won't mind seeing him.
I am nervous about JLT. Hopefully tomorrow she can get a good rest, and Tuesday she will return fresh for Idina's last week. Coz I really wanna see her again (I go Tuesday).
Jennifer was back this afternoon in top form. The entire cast was high energy and I have to say this was by far the best performance of this show I have ever seen. Idina sounded BRILLIANT. She didn't gasp once and there was no yelling at all. She sang the sh*t out of it.

I didn't like Walter as Boq, he hadn't quite 'found' the character when I saw him in the show.
According to Playbill, Kuhn will not join until Jan 11th.

Yes, she was really back. Idina was having a great time on stage and the two cried more than once, especially at the end. Idina even got a little ghetto at one point which was a nice little surprise.

Matt, are you being sarcastic? And what were you doing in the Gershwin anyway? I thought you're seeing the show next week!

Not being sarcastic one bit. And I'll be at her last show next week as well.
I took pics too! LOL

Matt_G NEVER said he didn't like WICKED. He said he has problems with the show that still should be fixed, but his problems in the past have been with the show's fans.
