Ok, we have two contradicting stories here! Walter or Robb? Can we make a decision please?
Would love to read a review, Matt.
I'm surprised BG2 hasn't cursed you for enjoying Idina. He's a bit touchy when it comes to that at the moment.

'He really wasn't good as Fieyro. Is it just me or does he sort of come across as a pimp? Just...the hand motions I've seen him do and the attitude..not that Taye is a pimp.' - SallyBrown on Taye Diggs as Fiyero
And I remember Addy quoting Glinda in a bar one evening, which really made me laugh

A dancer might dream to see her name in lights and mean it,
but all she really dreams is to make someone
else feel the way she did when she first saw a dancer.
And that is so beautiful-Anonymous
In her line "Well, we can't all come and go by bubble" She got all kinds of ghetto. It was HILARIOUS. It really made me crack up.
"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."
Addy, that was definately my favorite too. She must read the adults thread!

Idina was beyond amazing tonight....she tore the sh*t out of Defying Gravity and held the "a" in "again" for a long time - i thought i just missed the "gain" part...
haha, yea she did get ghetto on the "we can't all come and go by bubble" line -
JLT had idina is stitched during popular - idina comptelet broke as JLT spun in circles...
i believe idina came out (i had to leave right before she did, but her car was there)

I was there today and I thought the show was amazing. Better then my first time. However, at the beginning during the Wizard and I Idina was gasping a lot and did some clearing and coughing just before the finale of Defying Gravity. HOwever, I still wonder if this is partly in character. Her voice was amazing, hit all of the note. JLT was on fire too. Chris(Boq) was on fire as well. Great performance.
JLT is DIFFERENT than Cheno. I do love her, though. She adds a certain vulnerability to the character that was lacking originally. And the hair flipping during "Popular" really had me laughing, too.
And did you notice it wasn't just Idina who had a cough, Carole Shelley had to hack one up too.

I'll add to that it was by far the best "No Good Deed" I've heard Idina do. It was apparent very early in the song that she was going to hit it out of the park, when she took the "ice cold e--ye" note down a third, and just kept climbing from there. As someone else said, the "again" at the end of the song was HUGE, with a very, very prolonged first syllable that drew enormous crowd reaction.
Pleasantly surprised that Joey McIntyre has gotten a LOT better since I saw him last. An absolutely delightful "As Long..." and an enchanting "Dancing Through Life".
Loved Idina's "blah blah blah" in the Dorothy scene, as well as the multiple tears in "For Good"
Jennifer Laura's "Popular" is over. the. top. these days. She's so deliberate in her choices and delivery. Quite the talent.

I just realized, your last name is Butz! Both "Norbert" AND "Butz" are in your name! You must have gotten picked on a lot as a child!
