I really would have rather been at Wicked then Hairspray today. I'm glad JLT was back and feeling better. If she is on the same medication I'm on for my bronchitis, then there is no doubt she was a little crazier then usual. (I'm like freakin high.)
I might be there sometime next week, after Idina leaves. I just gots to see my Jen again!
"Blah Blah Blah" almost made me pee! And "No Good Deed" is my favorite number in the show so I was just in heaven listening to her belt that out. GOD it was incredible.
"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."
Did you notice Joey's voice being VERY off during "As Long As You're Mine"? It just didn't sound right at all.

I was surprised to see how different Sean is as The Wizard when I saw him. He was so evil and added a whole new dimension to the character. Very impressive.
Joe's been very silly with this rope in the last few shows, anything to make the girls laugh, right?

'He really wasn't good as Fieyro. Is it just me or does he sort of come across as a pimp? Just...the hand motions I've seen him do and the attitude..not that Taye is a pimp.' - SallyBrown on Taye Diggs as Fiyero
I would love to see Angela Lansbury take over when Shelley leaves. To have her and Hearn on stage together would be incredible.

I'm not trying to be awful, I'm just not in love with this particular portrayal. Added that I'm a big Joel Grey fan, probably saw him do the role 25 times, and still think that it's the quirky dance that makes "Wonderful" work

I just realized, your last name is Butz! Both "Norbert" AND "Butz" are in your name! You must have gotten picked on a lot as a child!
I don't think you can ever call George Hearn dreadful. I guess he's just not challenged in this role. Have you seen the man in Sweeney? He's a legend!

"It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."
i didn't say george hearn is dreadful - he is amazing in i am what i am - i just mean the wizard isn't right for him - he barely sung the high ntoes, he barely danced...i think sean mccourt is the best wizard of three (and yes, i liked joel grey in the role)
Joey sounded different since i last saw him - he acted more now, he whispered and smoke loudly...his voice sounded deeper today, i dunno
Ok there has been a lot of back and forth on who will be Boq till the 11th. But I talked to Robb tonight and he told me he would be doing the show all next week. Which is exciting:)
What is your dream role?
My dream role would be to be myself. To be performing at the Hollywood Bowl and to have an audience there just to see me, as Stephanie. They are there because they like what I do as a singer, an artist and a person (the last being the most important). I enjoy escaping and portraying other characters, but to be accepted and wanted as yourself... that's amazing! --Stephanie J. Block
Just one of the many reasons I admire and respect Stephanie!!
Hey, I took pictures also! And I'm sure mine are better than Addy's!!!
