Heh..didn't realize that it was his last night either... the goodbyes were cute and funny :) *calves* I'll probably never forget that...hehe..
Question: Does JLT usually do Stuart-like (Yes, as in MadTV Stuart) jumps during Popular? They made me hysterical :) Almost as did the same moments that are mentioned over and over in this thread (but that probably got me the most..must have been too much MadTV absorbtion over the holiday break lol)
And I am now kicking myself to hear that the director was there tonight. Joe Mantello was there?!? (I personally aspire to direct..so..yah...*sigh*) I didn't stagedoor because my father said we had to go home asap and wouldn't let us stay (I have hockey tomorrow morning...five am...). Arg. And I *will* mention that fact to my dad...
My dad thoguht Hearn was really bad in the role... I thought...well.. he probably wasn't animated enough or something...not awful, but..just... there... he was just "there"...
yeah Joe was there... kinda random, but the fab trio will prob be there next week too.... him, marc and stephen.
I'm SO SO happy Jenn was back. She was soo great. And Idina is already starting to cry during "For Good..." I think it's finally hit her... one week.
Stage door was ther worst i'd ever ever seen, ever. There wasn't even one security guard there. It was insane. people were chasing after her car and like jumping on it...
Damn, with all of these AMAZING reviews of the show tonight, I'm hoping someone got a clip or two of Idina singing "No Good Deed" or "Defying Gravity"...anyone? hehe
Stage door was ther worst i'd ever ever seen, ever.
Yeah-- that's the reason I gave myself for not wanting to stagedoor (and thus deciding not to even ask my dad, already knowing and after hearing/confirming his answer of no) ... I figured the mob scene'd be ridiculous and probably mostly all for (okay, I'm guessing all for) Idina and I didn't want to try and sift through or sit behind the mob of everyone...(Even if seeing her wasn't really important to me...but my dad said no to any stagedooring anyway so that was that. Period. The End.)
i also heard the stage door was madness, she came out though but left.
A dancer might dream to see her name in lights and mean it,
but all she really dreams is to make someone
else feel the way she did when she first saw a dancer.
And that is so beautiful-Anonymous
For the record - neither Matt nor I would EVER take a picture during the production. That flash that went off was NOT from either of our cameras.
In fact, we were madly digging through our bags to grab our cameras when we realized they were staying onstage to say farewell to Christopher... I snapped two pictures just before they started to leave...
I would NEVER, EVER photograph a performance!

OK, after the ongoing discussion on this thread yesterday, according to Playbill, Walter will actually step in and play Boq for the whole week until Kuhn takes over.

"It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."
It gives some hope to those who live in teh U.K and else where who would die to see this show but not even tehre own deaths would probally be worth it!!!!
not to mention it's gonna give me another chance to see MORE CHRIS!!!! bwhaa

I have to say... I absolutely adore George Hearn. Though Sean is by far my favorite Wizard, I do like George's. And, when he says 'Madame! The book!" I always think of SUNSET BLVD. Gah. I love him. Not only his performing, but (And I know loads of you hate when people say this...) He's a nice guy. And, he's always in awe of a fan of his, when my mom met him and told him what she had seen him in, George was almost THANKFUL!
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.
