Having Patrick Page do one of his "dramatic lyric readings" of Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand is a VERY clever marketing move for this one.

I was already in for Patrick Page, but Kristine Nielsen? Yes please
I saw this at the Mark Taper Forum several years ago. What I remember most is Patrick Page's complete command of the stage. I have an interest in late 19th century and early 20th century European royalty; therefore, I was definitely the audience for this. I'll be anxious to read the opinions posted on this board.

As someone else pointed out, he originated the role he'll be playing during the world premiere run at the Mark Taper in L.A. in 2017. So I'm sure they were happy he was able to return to the role but it's not as if they picked his name out of a hat.
I caught this at Theatreworks Silicon Valley pre-pandemic (sans Patrick Page), and REALLY liked the play. It's a fascinating and disturbing look at radicalization; I'm excited to see it hit NY. Kristine Nielsen and Patrick Page are both incredibly well cast in this.

did anyone go see this last night? Or planning to over the weekend?
I'm going on Weds, and curious to hear what others think, though earlier productions seem to have been positive
Enjoyed this. It’s a humorous but cautionary tale on the power of persuasion and following others in a world where groupthink through social media is at dangerous levels.
All three boys did a very good job in their roles, but Jake Berne, as the lead, gave his role more levels. Page and Nielsen were, of course, good too. The whole thing moved quickly (partly because of the changing sets) and while Roundabout has it listed as 2 hrs and 15, it was definitely 2 hours. That may change as previews continue.

I’m hoping this will be papered. I saw Liberation last year I think around Thanksgiving as well as Eureka Day, but Halloween is a big papering time as well. I’m trying to see Queens, Archduke, Practice, and oh happy day

I enjoyed it today. I honestly wasn't sure how the humor was going to be played, but it worked well in this. I agree that the three boys did a great job, especially Jake Berne. And Patrick Page as usual did good too. And I found myself looking up his character after the show. Kristine Nielsen was also good - I wonder if I'll ever look at cats or preserved cherries the same way.
I liked the set too, always nice to see something other than projections. I think the ending might've been the weakest part for me, maybe because they were building up to it so much

I saw it Sunday. It wasn’t for me. It was quite sharply written but it just wasn’t that interesting IMO. My friend and I were both a bit confused by what the ending wanted us to take away from it.

I just saw it yesterday and I agree - it was well written and well acted, but I still found it a little slow at times. I also admit I went in thinking i was going to be more of a comedy than it was. Funny at times, but far more dark and serious than I expected (which may have been my fault for going in blind). As far as the ending - my husband didn’t get it; I did, though it still left me with an, OK, it’s over?
