…Hmm. Interesting. That’s a great point. I hope they properly advertise it then. Not just saying it’s coming back but specifically say for how long.

It's long been confirmed we're in the most cursed timeline. What's another log on the fire?

Huge what if… what if Beeltejuice comes in to close out its original run. Broadway shut down March 12 and Beetlejuice was scheduled to close on June 6th. Doing my math, that’s 12 weeks. Reopening is April and if doing only 12 weeks then closing would be end of July. If OUAOMT does open, that’s enough time to load in and rehearsals for a September opening.

Regarding casting, according to IMDBAlex Brightman seems to be pretty busy with TV/film so unless they offer him a ton of money I doubt he'll be back. Here's $100 bucks says Will Blum takes on the title role full time. He was quite good in the bootleg, and since this is essentially a remount I'm guessing it's just easier on everyone to use someone who's done the role before."
I second Will Blum if Brightman isn't available. And I don't think this is intended as an open-run but just for the purpose to get this filmed (HBO Max?). Similar reason why Waitress is back and is only returning for 4 months.

AND bring back Stephanie J. Block if even for a limited engagement.
I hear Alex Brightman, Leslie Kritzer, and David Josefsberg are going to be in the reopening cast.

Thanks Jordan. But those of us who already knew it was coming back months ago when you said it had no hope of coming back, know all this already. You aren't sharing anything new.

I wonder where that JoBro rumor came from then?
It was a joke referencing Nick Jonas appearing in the remounted-for-filming Jersey Boys.
And if this is for filming, they’re definitely trying to get Alex back and will move mountains for it. He’s the face of the Beetlejuice brand, to the point that he voices the animated version of the character too.
I'm thrilled. I'm in the camp who adores this show and am thrilled that it's getting more life. I would be shocked if Brightman doesn't return, even if only for a short time (especially, like darquegk said, for filming).
I'm also in the camp who finds it delicious for this news to come out after so many people here were so adamant that it would never happen.

I’d also be very surprised if Brightman doesn’t come back!
How often does a show come back less than three years after closing? Shows have closed that sold very well prior to closing. Was it really so obvious that it’d come back so soon after closing when we had no idea what the pandemic would be like, what it would do to theater, etc? People are allowed to think differently. It’s never obvious that a show will return. Unless you’re an industry insider or work specifically on a show, there is no way for you to know that a show would return so soon after closing. So don’t put down people who didn’t think it would return. Did you think it was obvious that Waitress would return? I’m aware it closed. I am. But did you truly believe it would also come back so soon after closing? Get over yourselves. It’s not something to gloat about.

Delicious. Especially if they've been defending their stupidity allll day long.

And after people have proven their childish ways alll day long :) Pathetic really. At least some people are able to move on and be happy for fans of the show and actors involved-some would rather provoke others. Maybe get a new hobby?

Oh right because people haven’t been being rude to me? I tried to move on-people keep saying they’re owed an apology when I’ve moved on. That’s all I’m asking. Let’s move on and be excited instead of provoking others.

I don't know what you've written on this board in the past, but if people remember something inflammatory you said... The internet is forever and you might as well apologize and let it go. I agree with you, not trying to start an argument, just hoping we can resolve the drama and be happy.

Does anyone know what the schedule was last time? Like the start times? I know it probably won't be the same but I'm just looking for an idea.
Also, has anyone seen a show in the Marquis theatre?

I’m very glad to move on. I hope everyone else can too without any further demands or rude comments.

I don't remember start times, but yes I saw On Your Feet (orchestra) and Tootsie (mezz) there.

Hm. Great question. It seemed to be doing really well when the..stop clause? caused it to close…I don’t think it will have any trouble finding an audience for a while.
Never in a million years did I think this would actually happen. I'm like 10% annoyed that this show's annoying fanbase got what they wanted and 90% happy for a theater to be filled with gainfully employed people.
@Bway96: As far as dates and times, every show can be unique and they change performance times throughout the year, e.g. in winter, shows may begin earlier, but in April, it'll probably be 8pm Tues-Saturday, 2pm Weds and Saturday, and 3pm Sunday. This info will be available on Ticketmaster before the October 1 on-sale.
And yes, lots of people have seen shows in the Marquis. What is your question? (I suspect it's about seating recommendations...)
Oop, you clarified while I was typing! The Marquis has a lot of awesome places to sit and wait, and all INDOORS!

I'm just curious about how entry works there. Standing (in place) is sort of a struggle for me, so I am wondering if I could just come in closer to start time and not need to wait in the line (presumably most will have been seated), or if there's some other way I can manage that.
What seating did you prefer?

If I remember correctly there are benches up the escalators on the same floor as the theater entrance. There's usually always a line to get into the theater but once doors open the line usually moves pretty quickly so its less standing and more shuffle-walking.
I preferred the mezz because I like being able to see the whole stage. I don't think the stage was particularly high, so if you like being close the orchestra is still a good bet.
I hope I was able to be helpful!
