BroadwayWorld has learned that Beetlejuice will haunt Broadway once more! On Friday, April 8, 2022, BEETLEJUICE will play its first performance since March 11, 2020, this time haunting Broadway's Marriott Marquis Theatre (210 west 46th Street). BEETLEJUICE tickets will go on sale October 1, at www.Ticketmaster.com, with casting for BEETLEJUICE at Broadway's Marriott Marquis Theatre to be announced shortly. Watch an exciting announcement from the show below!
"We are overjoyed to be able to bring 'The Ghost with The Most' back to Broadway and are looking forward to seeing all our BEETLEJUICE fans this spring at the Marriott Marquis. We sincerely thank the BEETLEJUICE fans; it is because of their support that we will be able to blow the roof off the Marquis Theatre Three-times over with fun and laughter, laughter and laughter!" said producers Mark Kaufman (Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures) and Kevin McCormick (Langley Park Productions).
Color me completely shocked that this is actually happening!

I didn't like the show, but after seeing so many people on here mocking the idea of it coming back for so long, I can't help but smile at the news. Good for them. I won't be seeing it again, but it's great that it will be back for the company and the fans who clearly like (love?) it.
Kudos to those who called it!
I’m particularly excited to see what revisions have (most likely) been made now that there’s been an entire “Panda Express.” I feel like the death humor might be pretty sensitive, but the creative team has more time to find the footing and re-freeze the show into something much more grounded in its identity. I’m incredibly pumped!
Beetlejuice be like:
Well, well, well. Color me surprised, this sort of thing doesn't normally happen but I'm glad it has happened. The Marquis seems like a good theater to bring this show back.
But my mom told me that whining about what I want incessantly wouldn't get me anywhere!!!
She lied.

So even when it turns out the folks were right, we’re going to mock them?

Wow, and it seems to be open ended?
I really Hope this is good. I didn’t see it before but will now.

Yeah, that response seems about right for an era where people seem to be unembarassable.
(Full disclosure….never seen Beetlejuice…just here for the schadenfraude).

As a fan of the show, I never expected it to return despite all the rumors of theater switches and "petitions."
This is great though! I had my hopes up once the Waitress "revival" was announced (a combination of more convincing reopening rumors and me thinking that producers want recent/familiar show names to bring back crowds), but never took it as a sure thing until now.
I'm not too familiar with backstage sizes though. I remember reading a while back that the hardest thing about a transfer was the set.
Can anyone with more familiarity give some input about whether there'll be large scaledowns of the set or not? Since the set was part of the reason why I loved the show it'd be a shame if downsizing were to happen, but inevitable I suppose.
Always thought the Marquis a creepy place, so the show will at least fit the atmosphere.
It finished renovations and took down the dozens of B'way posters that were in the lobby area. Perhaps BJ will be the first one up.
Here's to you Lunalaaaaa.
Pretty good odds one of the reasons this is returning is to be filmed for the Warner Bros-connected HBO Max. They seem to be the only major streamer without a recent high-profile filmed live production.

Not sure about backstage specifically, but I think the Marquis stage is also fairly wide and it seems like a good choice for a transfer. Pretty excited about this, especially to see what cast they'll get and if they'll make any changes. Also "Daylight come and we got a new home" is a pretty great tagline.

It’s not okay to mock those who said it was going to close and not come back either. Just saying :)
so happy for fans of this show. That’s awesome!!
Actually, it's fair game for posters like you that yelled at people, for months, to GET OVER IT IT CLOSED.
Absolutely.
Wonder how many of those who were still in the show when Broadway shut down will be back in the show. It seems like Alex is very dedicated to this material, so I can’t easily see him returning.
Also, are they still planning a tour?

I thought Doubtfire was going to open in the Marriott Marquis pre covid? I’m probably making that up but I convinced myself that’s where it was headed. Was it always opening at the Sondheim?
I want to send out a tremendous congratulations to everybody who would not shut up about this for the past year. It pains me and many other to say it: you were right. Time to put my hat in a blender and make a smoothie.

Sure! If you want to be childish and rude :) Then have at it. Or you could move on from those posters and celebrate the show coming back instead of being petty about those people. Are you really that immature?
