Absolutely."
Sure! If you want to be childish and rude :) Then have at it. Or you could move on from those posters and celebrate the show coming back instead of being petty about those people. Are you really that immature?
Those posters? Those people?
They are.......you.
Just admit you were wrong and yes, I will move along!
Thanks for being awesome and admitting wrong, soulmistin!

Brings me so much joy to respond to this. You thought doubtfire was at the Marquee because it's the same god-awful show as Tootsie.

Fair point. I know they’re different shows but same concept. I guess that answers it ha!

It finished renovations and took down the dozens of B'way posters that were in the lobby area. Perhaps BJ will be the first one up.

What’s creepy about it? I’ve never been there (obviously)

As an anonymous poster on this forum, I’m not required to do anything you say and it’s amusing that you think you can demand that. So nah I really don’t have to do anything you say :) Except I will say if you’re an adult you’ll just move on :). I’m not required to do anything you say, so….:) Have a nice day.

THIS also ^^^^^^
Creepy? Nah, just the idea of it being in a hotel and the tiny ass escalators are weird. I hate the layout because it takes forever to actually get inside the theater.

I don't personally find it creepy at all, but it's covered so it's sort of dark and industrial looking. Like this

BAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
Stubborn people are so sad. Oh well, you bitching about people to get over it dozens and dozens of times is so well documented, I'm good. Hilarious.
When it's freezing cold outside in NYC, I prefer shows at Marriott Marquis where you can hangout inside the Marriott hotel lobby area to be warm.
I really hope Beetlejuice will survive this. I feel it normally does well in the fall/Halloween time.

I just have to give props to you again. It takes a mature and awesome adult to admit they were wrong.
Thank you.

Aw you’re so obsessed with my posts. I’m honored. You really can’t move on, can you? Maybe you should work on that. YOU are hilarious :)

Very, very much appreciated but not deserved! I was very adamant that it wasn't coming back, so I think I owe it to them to give them their proper congrats.
Wow!
Regarding casting, according to IMDB Alex Brightman seems to be pretty busy with TV/film so unless they offer him a ton of money I doubt he'll be back. Here's $100 bucks says Will Blum takes on the title role full time. He was quite good in the bootleg, and since this is essentially a remount I'm guessing it's just easier on everyone to use someone who's done the role before.
I really hated this show, but I'm happy for the fans of the show. I think the show has gained momentum and has become more popular since its closing. If I remember correctly, the show really took off after announcing a closing date. While I most certainly won't be seeing it again, I wish it well.

Oh my God, absolutely well deserved! Especially because people who complained way more than you will not admit wrong at all. It's so wild!
I'm going to give you props AGAIN

I completely agree! I’m so thrilled for fans of the show. Talk about manifesting something! And I really do think the Marquis will be a great theater for the show. It’ll be exciting to see who comes back and what the casting looks like.

Lmao. Why on earth do you require people to admit they were wrong. How about you move on instead? Prove you’re an adult who can move on from things.

Perhaps creepy is the wrong word. Cold perhaps? It doesn't have the opulent theater feel with gorgeous interiors like the older theaters. Reminds me of Florida theaters in Tampa/Clearwater. Sterile and architecturally boring. And the theater lobby has the warmth of an office building. The steeped seating is an advantage to prevent head-blocking views.
The old B'way show posters were cool to see while waiting on the interminable bathroom lines. One of the hotel managers said he didn't know if they'd return.

Those posters need to be rehung. That was the most interesting/entertaining aspects in that lobby.

i don't think i'm on record here mocking anyone for insisting/demanding/pleading that this show be resurrected, but i certainly was doing it in my own head so full mea culpa.
never saw it, but wish it no ill will and would love for lots of talented actors to get themselves paid and busy, so great news if there's an audience for it!
I am absolutely shocked this is coming back. Not that it was a great show at all at the Winter Garden, but at the very least, Beetlejuice will get a proper closure when the time is right.
I bet the fans are going absolutely berserk right now.

Not 100% sure this is still the case, but for those wondering if it’s an open-ended run last I heard Once Upon a One More Time still has the theater booked for Fall 2022. So unless something has changed (and it very well could’ve) I would expect this to be a 3-4 month limited engagement. But it is curious to not see it being advertised as such.
