Seems like it might be a reality? Can’t imagine he’d tweet something like this without plans in the works.

Interesting. Certainly doesn’t seem like he would make that post without some sort of talks happening. It would be cool, but also, they are definitely a bit old for the roles now, and on camera that would be even more obvious.

It would certainly increase ticket sales! I’d definitely buy a ticket to see the OBC on stage again since I never got to see them.
Strange, but kinda fun!
They could do some kind of self-aware jokey reading of "now that I'm 19" and other references to their age.
It would be wild if they managed to get Brian Tyree Henry to reprise his small role as The General, despite being a movie star now.
I remember thinking this back in fall of 2019 after Gad posted a throwback on Instagram. Here is that thread: https://forum.broadwayworld.com/readmessage.php?thread=1119580#
this time it seems more serious, like something about asking the fans makes it more inevitable. Hopefully he isn’t just joking around like that Forum revival!
Considering I have NEVER seen BOM, but want to, this would definitely get me to see it!

I wouldn't really care if it was the OBC, or not; sign me up! I'll watch it on whatever platform it shows up on.

Yeah, I was thinking that about Henry as well. Would be cool if he came back for it.
Just to be clear, Gad later replied to his tweet: "For the record, there is nothing in motion. This is more of a curiosity thing. Nothing has been discussed at this time. Blown away by the interest and the passion though"
I'd love to see it, especially if they add some jokes about the ages. And a filmed stage production might serve the material better than a feature film. At the very least, I'm sure Paramount (which owns South Park's home, Comedy Central) would be willing to fund the project or acquire the negative for streaming...and there would probably be interest from the other streamers as well.

I would love this as it's one of my favorite shows ever and think that it's one of the few shows where the ages don't really matter because it's so tongue in cheek anyway. But I had heard that Bobby Lopez wanted more money last time around and walked away because he wasn't getting enough (because he needs more money I guess) but maybe something moved him this time.
Clearly he doesn't know how "asking for a friend" works, bless his heart.
I think I’d prefer an animated film done in the South Park multimedia style. Featuring the original duo plus Parker and Stone as Jesus and Satan. Add some alumni and some celebrity guests who are friends of the team: Bill Hader, Kenan Thompson, etc.
Add in Sally Struthers in a cameo role

Definitely not. Animated film is a smart idea but no interest or reason to have Bill Hander or Kenan Thompson to be any part of this. They have nothing to do with the show and add nothing to it.
