Considering Moulin Rouge tickets in December:
Restricted view Orchestra H 15-17 or back of mez? Same price of $99. The seat is right next to a non restricted view seat so not sure how bad they could be.
Looked it up online and the seat looks like fun. Just not sure if Id miss too much.
I’d definitely pick the up close one. Not the same at all but I just sat P 13–15 and so much happens on the far right aisle plus you’ll have an amazing view of that little stage bump out. H orch hands down!!
Having seen it once from the orch and once from the front mezz, the front mezz is a FABULOUS view and arguably better than sitting downstairs. That's just one person's opinion and you'd still probably have a great experience downstairs.

Last row of the mezzanine? This is how I look at it: if you get the partial view orchestra seats, you probably won't regret it at all, but, if you're all the way in the rear of the mezzanine, it's very possible that you'll wish you were closer.
I say go with the orchestra.
A friend won the lottery last week. Decided to pass, since I saw it twice, but the $34. cost got him front mezzanine second row. I must now add that they sat in the far right side and it was right behind the Elephant's trunk. They did get to see 2/3 of the stage.

Definitely get the orchestra seat.
I think it boils down your personality and personal preference. If you are someone who likes to feels immersed and close to the performers then sacrifice a sliver of view for a fun perspective close to the action.
If you really want to see the show framed as the designers intended and want to see the full artistic vision then sit in the mezz.
It's two very different experiences.

Yeah I saw that which is why I am so tempted to scoop those up. But I can tell you'd miss some on the near side of the stage. I guess what I'm wondering is how MUCH would I miss with these partial view seats? They look so close and so much fun. And I'll be vacationing in NYC so I don't want to rely on lottery, I'd rather choose my seats now.

Did you like your seats in row P? There are seats right next to yours (P17 and 19) that are also in the lower price range.

Unfortunately, I have not seen the show yet (seeing it in November) so I can't speak to that issue.
Both times we saw the show in NYC it was from rear orchestra, as that's where the wheelchair-accessible seats are. I don't really remember missing much of anything from there. Hope that helps!

WITHOUT QUESTION ---- if these seats became available at the price point you're comfortable with, BUY THEM before they are gone. Those are FANTASTIC SEATS, and a much better line of site than the two options you'd initially asked about

I sat in the last seat in Row L, seat 25 if I'm not mistaken and you do miss a little but nothing really major and being up that close for a spectacle like this really enhanced my enjoyment of the show. But I'm a closer is better person so it's really what you prefer.

We sat middle of the mezzanine center Row J 112 & 113. The view of the front portion of the passerelle was blocked, as was the view of some of the action taking place on both sides of the orchestra seats off of the main stage. We weren't very happy, and we weren't even all the way at the rear of the mezzanine. I would agree with the other folks in this thread who recommended going with orchestra restricted view--at least you'll be up close.
