I was lucky enough to hear her sing She Used to Be Mine at the TPAC season announcement this Tuesday. She was incredible. She will be great!

Another excellent choice!! Glad to see she landed this great role after being let go from FROZEN.

Ok so I am not crazy for thinking "Wait isn't she supposed to be doing Frozen this summer?."

Apparently her name will be changed to Annej.

Frozen has always been slated as 2018- the workshop is what she is not doing, Caissie Levy is. It remains to be seen who will be Elsa in the full scale production, workshops do not dictate the cast that will be onstge opening night. She may not have been "let go" at all, she may have had scheduling conflicts, which based on this announcement seem probable. Also, Frozen's creative team has been in flux from workshop to workshop which may further prove scheduling issues if this one is last minute. Caissie and Betsy are tremendous talents both more than capable of Elsa. We'll just have to wait and see if one or both get "frozen out" in the end![]()

I wonder if Betsy will share a point of a percentage along with people in the earlier labs.

I missed the show with Jessie, but I've been meaning to see it. At this point, should I see it with Sara, or should I wait for Betsy?

I say wait for Betsy---she is much better than Jessie. Sara is going to be good too, but not as good as Betsy.

Thanks, muscle, that's what I'm leaning toward. I'm not a huge Sara Bareilles fan, and Betsy has a more traditional musical theatre voice, which is what I prefer.

Also, tickets are a bit pricier with Sara, so if you don't have a preference it will probably be easier to get an affordable ticket with Betsy.

If that's what you prefer then this might not be the show for you. It's a very singer-songwriter score. Sara B NAILed it when I saw it. Jessie was sensational as well. And looking forward to returning to see it with Betsy.

That's also what I was thinking. It was 50% off at TKTS fairly often with Jessie, so I'm assuming it will the same with Betsy.

I know the music, and I understand the style is singer-songwriter. I've heard both Jessie's and Sara's versions of "She Used to Be Mine," and I prefer Jessie's voice. It is possible to prefer a traditional musical theatre voice singing singer-songwriter songs. Wow, that's a lot of alliteration right there.

Excellent choice! I wonder if they have any other "stunt" casting planned. Many of the other characters can be played by celebs.

Just for the record, Sara's original version is not the same that she sings on stage. She now sings in a more traditional musical theater voice on stage..than she did for the original recording.
I was actually surprised how well she is doing. I don't at all feel like she's performing for a concert or recording. She is a broadway leading lady period.
