Holy cow, those numbes are off the charts for Kinky Boots & Motown!! Both nearly grossing $1.4 million. So happy to see so many new shows doing well, including Pippin, Cinderella, Matilda and Vanya & Sonia... Excellent numbers all around(except for Ann).

Interesting how a lot of shows at have a higher attendance percentage than Wicked, but it's still grossing over most shows.
Wicked is playing in the largest house on Broadway. The next largest house capacity wise is the Foxwoods which has 100 less seats and then comes the Broadway which has 172 fewer seats. So considering Wicked has at least 200 more tickets to sell it can easily outgross most shows on Broadway without having to sell out.

I'm sure that the cold and rainy holiday weekend weather changed a lot of people's plans. Myself included (Cinderella instead of the beach).
Great weekend! Glad to see "Cinderella" bouncing back. Jane Lynch seems to be helping Annie.
Wicked also doesn't do discounts. Just looking now and it looks like they are selling their partial views for $87 and raising that to $112 in June now. I only paid $55 for those seats a few years ago.
Odd how PIPPIN is breaking house records but still dropping week to week.
Not really when you consider the drop in attendance is literally 44 seats over the past two weeks compared with a rise in average ticket price of nearly $10 per ticket.
So happy for Vanya! Nearly sold out an grossing almost $600,000. It's found a well-deserved audience and I hope it extends again.

Go Kinky Boots! They just keep goin' up. I don't know why but I didn't expect these kind of grosses from it.
I wonder if the producers of Vanya and Sonia... are waiting until after the Tonys to see if they'll extend. They can easily extend until Labor Day.

It will also continue to play well through the summer.

It may also have to do with the schedules of the cast members. Some may have conflicts coming up (I'm specifically thinking Sigourney Weaver, but that's just speculation, I have no idea if she does have any film projects she's committed to).
