The Kill Tony thing is kind of neither here nor there. They’re a major force in comedy and just sold out Madison Square Garden. Of course you’d attach yourself on some way.

Was he found guilty of all the allegations? It seems like credible or not it doesn’t seem like anything was actually figured out? I’m not saying anything either way because I honestly don’t care about that man or his show but seems odd to continuously bash it at every mention.

Bash him based on allegations that went nowhere, AND claim hes some horrible MAGA guy--many staunchly liberal, popular and media darling comedians are in his circle and attended the premiere. The idea that theyre all close friends and supportive of a Trumpist is just ignorant, and indicative of the bubble so many of you live in-- and i say this as someone who takes a backseat to no one in detesting everything about our disgusting dictatorial president.

jeff ross isnt for everyone, billy porter is over the top, all well and good but the sheer venom and delusion so many of you swim in is just so disturbing

Any rumors of who the next Mary is? Or does Jinkx have an extension? Her final performance is just a little more than a month away."

I’d be curious as well. Normally they would have hinted something by now, but I know they are only 3 weeks into Jinkx’s run and if they announce the next Mary, people may hold their coins and that’s not good for a show where, historically, each new casting has inspired great return business. I anticipate something probably in the next week or so.

It's so much easier for people to just assume that everyone even remotely attached to his name, no matter how loosely, is automatically a supporter, than to engage in any level of critical thinking skills at all. Truly childish behavior. And I also say this as someone who can't stand the dude.

Also, give it a rest with this. This refrain is so played out, and so annoying. Literally everyone is impacted by Trump, and the things he does. He's the President. Anyone can have an opinion (and speak it), because everyone is affected.

why don't you give it a rest and stop trying to police other peoples opinions

wait you want OTHERS to give it a rest about policing peoples opinions? You who has posted 11 times about Jeff Ross being a monster whose show you hope fails miserably? You who keeps telling us how horrible everyone is for forgetting that article about him from 15 ys ago?

Everyone can say whatever they want, and everyone can comment on whatever you say, thats how it all works.

It would be so cool if people went back to discussing the grosses for last week instead of devolving the thread into political sh*t-slinging. Jeff Ross is trash, no one cares who he is, and his show is unsurprisingly flopping as a result - NEXT!

Some of these producers are clearly trying to save face by not closing their shows, but I think it would be far less embarrassing to just cut their losses. Keeping Cabaret open like this is one of the more foolhardy “keep it open past its expiration date” moves I’ve seen in recent memory.

Also, I continue to be pleasantly surprised and only mildly baffled that Just In Time has proven to be the smash hit of the season. Has Jonathan Groff become one of the singular Broadway talents that commands this kind of audience? I’d be thrilled if that remains true.

I've been thinking about this as well and wondering if it is just the right mix of popular entertainer, crossover audience demographics, right-sized theatre, somewhat distinctive show, and positive buzz.

Can everyone please stop talking about the topic I want them to stop talking about, but first let me include my own comment on that topic, and THEN everyone should talk about something else.

I cannot wait to see Death Becomes Her's grosses as they go into a second fall season for them... the perfect show for that season right after what could have been a summer slump. Plus, if they announce any replacement casting any time soon, they'll get a significant bump of people trying to see any of the final performances if any of the leading ladies leave.
