Has anyone rushed CHAPLIN yet?
What time is optimal for arrival at box office, and where were the seats?
Thanks!

I rushed first preview getting there at 8am and there was one other person there, no one else arrived until 9.45 so unless theres been a dramtic change in the last day I'd say you don't need to be there till 9.30 at the latest though i'd reccomend 9.00 just to be safe.

Just because I havent seen any releases about rush yet, is it student or general? How much are they? Where are the seats? Thanks for your help!

it's the 15 front row seats $35, 2 per person and it's general rush. The eye lines pretty good, you miss a tiny bit of action in places because of the raised stage but you can't have everything. It's a very good deal if you ask me!!
For those wondering, I rushed Chaplin this morning. Got there at 9am and was 4th in line. There wasn't that many people. By the time the box office opened I'd say only about 10-15 people were in line.
Is the stage really high (like the Palace) or kind of moderate?
The stage was moderately high. I didn't find it to be a problem at all. Saw the show perfectly fine in the front row.
Hi there! Any new updates from people who have gone recently?
Vellekoop, no need to Bueller it 3 hours after someone asked. I'm pretty sure you can go up there whenever and get tickets. Look at the grosses and see that it's not selling.
I didn't even know you could look up grosses. Thank you for that tip!
And it's always appropriate to Bueller it. As you may recall, Ben Stein Buellered within seconds!
Went this morning. I got there around 8:45. There were surprisingly at least 20 people ahead of me. I was able to get a second row seat for matinee (the evening was already sold out). It didn't seem like many people behind me would be getting tickets.
Thank you so much for that info! We're hoping to see it next week. This really helps.

It opens Monday night. If the reviews are good, ticket availability may get tougher.
Just if anyone was curious, I went to pick up my tickets for yesterday's performance at around 12:20 PM. One person in front of me asked the box office employee if there were any rush tickets left and he said "We sell rush tickets as soon as we open the box office at 12. We help out the people who take the time and effort to wait in line and when the lines over we stop selling them."

Bump!
Going on Saturday for the matinee, and I want to see how early I need to be there...
Thanks!
That's rude. So... you want me to waste my time and sit out on the street? Great.

Anybody? It's not on the Broadway Spotted Rush Report, which is bizarre.
Are they still being dicks, or can I go throughout the day and get a ticket?

I rushed last Saturday- got there at around 8 and had about 8 people in front of me in line. When the box office opened, they had two lines form, one for matinee tickets and one for evening, which made it much easier.
All the rush tickets for the evening show were in the rear mezz, but for this show, I actually preferred it.
Good luck!!

I rushed on Wednesday and I got to the theater at 7:50am (definitely too early)-i was first on line. The next person arrived around 8:05 and by the time the box office opened at 10, there were about 20 people on line, maybe more.
I got center orchestra row O for the night show, the person behind me got front row of the rear mezzanine for the matinee, the person behind her got for the evening and got the tickets next to mine. Person behind her got row P in the center orch. I'm pretty sure they just gave out whatever they had left. My seats were amazing--the theater is pretty small and row O was third from last row but I thought they were great seats (this is coming from someone who loves sitting close and typically HATES sitting anywhere past row K in the orch).
As for the box office people saying they give out their tickets to those who are there by 10am, I didn't get a snoody response but I was there Tuesday night around 5:30 and I asked the woman at the box office if there were any rush tickets left for that night and she responded by saying "We give those tickets out at 10am when the box office opens, so if you would like the $35 ones, come in the morning when we open"--which implies they don't give out rush tickets to those who arrive randomly throughout the day.
I got row A this morning. On the side. I hope it's not too partial?
which side and how far over? What time did you get there?
